We have a decent sized deck on the back of our home, as it measures 13 feet by 11 feet. The issue is that it it looks weathered. We've owned the home for over 20 years now, and have stained and sealed it a few times, but clearly has not been done often enough. It's still strong, and in pretty good shape, but is mostly a grey color now. Still, we spend a fair amount of time out there when we grill out, enjoy some adult beverages, and spend some quality time with friends. We generally set up our 10 x 10 pop-up tent with the deck table and chairs underneath, along with some citronella to keep the mosquitoes away. We bought this rug in June so we have used it often. One day when we were having friends over, we experimented by putting this rug down and the deck furniture on top of it underneath the tent. It looked amazing. The darker side was facing up, and looked great. We got several compliments from our friends about how nice the rug looked. It measures 5 x 7 feet, so it fit nicely under the tent. It was noticeable that we were all able to put our feet on the rug instead of the deck while out there eating and drinking. It is made of polypropylene which is a plastic polymer known for being sturdy and resistant to stains, weather, etc. After everyone goes home, and we are left to clean up, this rug is so easy to clean. We simply hose it off, air dry it, roll it back up, and put into a protective bag we actually bought separately. What's funny though is that the next time our friends came over, we used the same rug, but turned it over since it was reversible. The other side features a lighter background color with a square pattern. Everyone thought it was a new rug until we fessed up and showed them it was reversible. This is a great product and is suitable for indoor or outdoor use. Cleaning is a snap, so it is most definitely kid and pet friendly. There are multiple sizes available, so be sure to measure before buying so you get the right one for you. Great rug for under the patio table (which is under a covered patio - getting little sun or real weather). The color is a nice, neutral beige. The material is not soft on your feet, but is thick enough to protect doggos and kiddos from the cold and heat of they're playing on the rug. It's also a good option for catching things dropped at the table. Good texture for handling debris that blows in. It is easy to hose off (even in place) and dries quickly. I'm happy with this rug.

This rug is a great choice for outdoors, the material it is made from seems to be very durable and is so far holding up very well in the Nevada sun! Not only does it function well but it looks great too. Rugshop is my go-to for quality rugs, and when I was looking for a jute rug for the back deck, I knew they would understand the assignment! I spend most days out on the deck and it sees a ton of foot traffic between myself and my two dogs. The deck also gets the full brunt of the harsh sun being west-facing - and dog nails are so abrasive to the surface without a protective covering. So, I couldn't be happier when this rug got delivered. The first thing I noticed about the rug is that it laid nearly flat right away. The pile is thick and luxurious, but not excessively so, where it won't dry out when wet. This rug is also durable, yet soft and comfortable to walk on. I chose to display the tan, natural-colored side, but this rug is reversible! The other side is more white with natural accents (see the photo I included with my review for more detail). It's amazing how something as simple as a nice rug can elevate the look of my deck. It feels cozy and looks so stylish now. I ordered the 5'x7' rug which is currently $113.40. This is an excellent value for a durable, high-quality, jute indoor/outdoor rug.

So this rug isn't insanely thick/durable, I wouldn't use outdoors if I knew it'd be getting a lot of direct sun or subjected to harsh elements. It isn't really an indoor rug though, the weave has a slightly rougher feel that I assume is designed to allow some water to pass through. It's pretty much ideal for an inbetween space like a covered patio or in my case, the garage in our laundry area, so we don't have to put slippers on every time we pop out to do a load. All-in-all I am happy with it for that purpose. As you can see, the end on one side isn't laying flat yet so hopefully that will relax over time.

The pros include the following: The rug is well designed and seems to be manufactured to last for the long haul... It looks more than great... my significant other loves it... and it's more than perfect for my back porch. This is a nice rug. That lays flat looks wonderful, and provides some slipper resistance in an outdoor setting like my three season room. When it gets wet from watering my plants, it does seem to dry pretty quickly and durability. Seems good although time will tell. Value is good, considering the quality of the rug.

This rug is classified as indoor/outdoor and is made from 100% Polyurethane but looks like Jute. It is beautiful, stylish and best of all durable. Also, the feel of it under foot isn’t rough but rather smooth and comfy for patio use. I have it outside on an uncovered patio and haven’t noticed any fading or stains. It dries rather quickly after it rains. It rinses off nicely with the hose when it gets dirty. I especially like that this rug is reversible and has two different colors and patterns on each side. I ordered the 5’ x7’ which is perfect for our outdoor sitting area. I like that this comes in other size options as well. This rug has exceeded my expectations and I’m very happy with my order.
