This rug is super soft and such a steal for the price, but I cannot imagine using it without a rug pad. The rug is paper thin, so you're going to need a very thick pad. With that being said, it's super soft and once a rug pad is added, it's a really good value. My only issue with it in terms of quality is that it's printed atop a very soft material and if you run your hand across it and look closely, you can see that it's printed on the top layer only so it's all white beneath the pattern. I bought two of these for my living room. The rugs lay flat - something that my namebrand washable rugs never did. Luckily, we have not had to try washing these in a machine or with a carpet shampooer. The rugs come clean quite easily with spot cleaning. I have to adjust the suction on my vacuum so the rugs do not get pulled into the vacuum, but they are in no way flimsy. This rug ships in a square box you'd never guess is big enough. The rug is pretty thin, so it folds up that small. I haven't tried to wash it in a laundry machine, but it looks like it would work. The rug is super soft, it feels great on bare feet. Don't know about stain resistance, we haven't spilled anything on it. I will say that it takes a couple days for the creases to flatten out and we used a couple non-skid pads (like you might put in a cabinet or silverware drawer) and put the front feet of the couch on it as an anchor. I am using this as a chair mat on my hardwood floors as I want something that prevents my chair from rolling all over the place (I replaced the plastic wheels with rollerblade-style wheels). This looks great and works perfect for my purpose. It is very thin but stays in place without getting bunched up. If this were used in a more visible location, such as by a couch, I would elect for something thicker and more traditional construction. ... show more

Beautiful rugs have a large one 6x9 in my living room and the matching runner in the hall 2x10 I put a rug pad under both. I would have given this five stars, except I had a hard time getting it to lay flat, but that is now accomplished, and I had to buy a new vacuum cleaner because mine was too strong to vacuum it. I recently brought this product during a revamp project I did on my grandparents living room. I love the way it feels, I love the design, and overall the quality of it in general. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the rug ripples some when you walk on it; Even with furniture on the main corners. My theory is that it’s doing that because it’s on top of carpeted flooring instead of hardwood. I’m going to put a rubber mat underneath it and I think that will help it.
