It is thinner than I expected but it does still work perfectly in my kitchen. I guess if it was any thicker it would be hard to put in the washing machine. It is very nice and soft. I might buy a runner for my hallway.

This exceeded our expectations. It laid flat almost immediately despite being folded multiple times. Its soft underfoot, and the “worn look” effect isn’t as exaggerated as with other rugs. One of our dogs had an accident in it and for the first time, after we blotted and spot-treated it he hasn’t even sniffed at it. It vacuums easily and looks as good as the day we bought it. I washed it immediately to make sure it came out ok before the return window closed. It washed fine and looked great so I kept it. There is one side that has two small spots where the edging has come unravelled and we haven’t even had it a month. BUT, we do have 2 dogs (one is an 11 month old puppy), a cat and 3 older kids, so while I didn’t see any of them do anything to it, it has the markings of a troublemaker puppy on it, so I’ll reserve my judgement on that at this point. It could totally be that she chewed it a little bit, I’m just not sure. The price was good though and it’s beautiful and soft. It has no cushion at all, which is fine by me. I was waiting to leave a review for this until I had it for a while. I purchased this rug last November for my living room, and have loved it since it got it, but today it became a 5 star product to me. First, it is just about the softest material that I have ever felt for a rug. Second, it spot cleans very well. Third, it washes in a large washer very easily, and is like new after. The only downside to this rug is that you’re going to have problems with it if you have a vacuum that you can’t adjust the distance from the floor. I usually use the second from the highest setting on my vacuum, and it works, but the rug still sometimes gets pulled up while vacuuming. Overall, though, this rug is an excellent purchase for anyone, especially people with kids or pets. ... show more

    • Beautiful Rug - Unfortunately did not work for me
I have been updating the furniture in my living room, trying to go for a darker more moodier feel. I ordered this area rug in the rust color, and was very happy with the aesthetic once it arrived. The rug is delivered folded in a box, which took me off guard, as I was expecting the typically awkward large rolled up rug delivery. The rug is very thin, but the graphic is great quality and very soft - not a high or tight pile. Initially, I was very happy, the color and graphic was exactly what I was looking for. But when I went to vacuum the rug for the first time - the main problem occurred. All three of my vacuums would eat this rug - heavy duty vacuum to gentle cordless, none of them worked. Maybe this is due to it being a washable rug, as this was my first washable are rug - I'm not sure, but I do know I was unable to vacuum this area rug. I have 3 dogs that shred regularly and heavily, so vacuuming is a daily occurrence for me - because of this, I did return the area rug. I was sad to return the rug as the aesthetic, color, and size was exactly what I was looking for, but I need to be able to vacuum my rugs. My laundry machines are not large enough to accommodate a rug of this size (8x10), nor do I find washing my rugs in laundry machines to be more convenient than vacuuming. If you're looking for a rug to be able to throw in a laundry machine - I would recommend this rug 10/10. But if you're wanting to vacuum this rug, or you're wanting a luxurious and thick piled rug - keep searching. ... show more

Love color and design of this rug. Looks amazing in my living room. Noticed after about a week a flaw in thr design that looks like a printing error but was too lazy to send it back. Very soft and lightweight. So light that I cannot use my vacuum on it because it lifts the rug. Bought a Fuller manual sweeper for day to day cleaning. Haven't tried washing it yet. 4 stars because of vacuum issues and print problem. ... show more
