We've been using this harness for 2 months with our 60lb adult Lab. It's been great. She can sit and lay down with it easily when she's seatbelted. It's comfortable for her to wear - she even gets excited when we bring it out. It's just as fast to put on as our other ruffwear harnesses. The metal buckles to put the harness on the dog can sometimes take a few tries with a wiggly dog, but I appreciate their strength. I've adjusted the fit a few times because I am fussy, but it has been straightforward to do. We chose this harness because it was the most reasonablely priced of the few crash rated harnesses available on the market. Most other tethers and harnesses will NOT secure your dog in even a medium speed crash. That's important for human safety and the dog's. My one design request would be leash attachments on the harness. In a pinch we can attach a leash to her collar or the seatbelt loop. Most often I just put this vehicle harness on over a walking harness. But for outings that involve just a quick transfer from building to car and back (like car ride-only trips or vet trips) it would be nice to have leash attachments on the harness, especially one on the front.

The safety harness is very well made and seems like it would keep a dog safe in the car. The problem for my dog is that the area that covers the chest is too long. It goes so far down his torso that the lower edge of it pushes against his privates. So, although I felt confident that it would protect him in the car, I had to return it. I did find it easy to adjust and the straps and clips are strong and cleverly designed. The one thing that would make it better would be a way to attach a leash. My dog will only walk if the leash is attached to his harness. If I attach the leash directly to his collar he freezes in place and will not move.

My 104 lb excitable and highly energetic puppy broke two different seat belt restraints in less than 2 years, and it turned out than neither of them were rated for vehicle safety. He was also able to stand on the console, blocking my view beside and behind me. So I opted to give this a try. It does keep him in the backseat, but it really limits his mobility. Additionally, because it essentially anchors his butt to the backseat, he can't move much at all, which is unfortunate for long road trips. And because he is fidgity, the first road trip that was more than 2 hours long, he managed to get the seatbelt that goes through the loop at the butt of the harness wrapped around his leg and he freaked out. I am looking at trying to find another option than using the seatbelt. Because I am afraid he will end up breaking the seat belt webbing, I have been using the middle seatbelt in the backseat of my pickup (all of the seatbelts in my truck are 3 point shoulder seatbelts) but I am hoping maybe I can find seatbelt webbing with the pretensioner (the male piece) at each end, rated for vehicle safety.

I read a lot of reviews and liked this harness the best for my dog’s safety in the back seat of my sedan. This brand never disappoints me with the quality of materials and construction, and the smart design. I did need to watch the video (on the website) and pause it, while I figured out how to fit the harness to my dog, and it was worth it. He is securely in a very sturdy snd nicely padded restraint that is meant to absorb force and restrain him without hurting him in case of an accident. I paired it with the Molly mutt dog seat cover, which is great because it also is beautifully designed and constructed, and added my coat for padding and comfort underneath him on our trip.

Works great. Adjustable and comfortable, and Fido likes it so much he steps right into it. It's easy to adjust to fit over jackets or sweaters , or to go directly onto dog if he's not wearing clothing. We like the brand in everything we've brought from them. We've used this about 18 months, and it's still in good condition. It's washable too.

Horrible harness, dog will chew it off, impossible to put on dog - badly designed. OK, this is one of the worst harnesses I've ever tried for my dog. First, the clasp is very hard to use and adjust. Second, the non-intuitive design makes it hard to get the dog completely snug into the harness. It really is one of the worst designs I've ever tried.
