    • Joy stick is hard to control speed and making turns, especially on carpet.
As stated the joy stick is the problem, also, does not move good at all on carpet. Does fold up good, but too heavy for an older woman to lift in and out of a car. Basically it’s as good as a manual wheelchair only more compact and easier to fit under tables at restaurants and to maneuver the wheels, if no carpet.too expensive for just a manual wheelchair. This electric wheelchair met my requirements as far as weight, which is around 36-40 pounds. It folds into a manageable size too. Now for the cons. I found that this is NOT good off “road”. Moreover, the notion that the chair will climb 12” slopes is bogus unless you’re an young child who weighs under 100 pounds. Hope this helps. ... show more

    • Backup beeping is annoying
If you go for a midnight snack or just to the bathroom, that backup beeper will wake everyone. The chair does fold easily, and is lightweight. It's not very comfortable, though. You may want to add cushions. If I could just mute that beeper, I'd consider it an excellent buy.

    • Update - Great chair for the money
Update - 9/24/21 - Rubicon Mobility came through 100%.. Their support staff (including Michael) were very courteous and friendly. They first shipped me a new battery thinking that the battery that came with the chair would hold a charge. It turned out that the battery was good. They then sent me a new control unit that resolved the problem. They sent me a prepaid return shipping label to return the defective controller. I have been with Amazon Prime since 2009, and the customer service in this company, is by far, the best one I have dealt with. I would not hesitate to order from them again. Update - I contacted the seller and they have been working with me to resolve the problem. The are shipping me a new battery FedEx two day. I bought this for my wife, who has problems walking more than a 1/4 mile. It arrived and I charged it to capacity. About 3 weeks after we received it, we took a trip camping. She use it until the battery had two bars left. We charged it for about 4 hours and thought that it would allow her to make it to the rest rooms. NOPE! It died and she had to push it back. After a 12 hour charge it would not hold a charge at all. There return policy is so restrictive, it makes me wonder it its worth the aggravation. "The product must be returned in NEW condition, in ORIGIONAL boxes, and with all paper work, parts and accessories in order to satisfy our return policy". BTW, you have to pay for return shipping, and if they agree that the product is defective and you meet all of the return policy guidelines, they will refund your money and shipping costs, if not ??? ... show more

    • Fun, serious ride!
Gave my 91 year old mother back her mobility. Wheelbase is short and narrow enough to get into most places like bathrooms and navigate around kitchen islands. Chair is super comfy. Folds up like a stroller. Lightweight enough to easily lift in and out of vehicle. Variable speed control is a nice feature. I used a playdoh type material to muffle the backup beeper (helps a lot). The hole is under the right arm control. Has provided trouble free service now for 15 months. Tires are a solid material so you never have to worry about pumping up tires. ... show more

I would of given the chair five stars but the company has effectively no service department. I have cracked the joystick assembly (still works) but I need a replacement. They ask that you text for service but have received no response to multiple texts. None of the email addresses work. One post I found said there is just one guy in service. I recommend you find another seller who will provide follow-on Support ... show more

So excited to find a light wheight travel elect wheel chair. Disapointed it was either put in the shipping box damaged or damaged in shipment. Then to return the product a person has to ask someone to take it to a UPS store to return? I want to order another but do not want to go through the same experience. This wheel chair was very well made so to have the metal holding the front left wheel bent and broken in such a manner gave an impression of a complete lack of care for the costomer and the product. ... show more
