  • My favorite mop I've ever used. Glad to find it again!
Style: Cotton Twist Mop
Yes, the zip tie broke on the old one I had, it lasted 10 years before breaking. Yes, I could've just replaced the zip tie, but decided to buy another. I also purchased more mop heads for the old handle, will use those in garage and for messier jobs. I like that it doesn't have a bucket with it. I fill and use it in the kitchen sink, as I like to replace use really clean water when I'm mopping. This mop is like the professional ones, but you can keep it a lot cleaner. You will like this mop if you think that washing the floor by hand with a cotton rag cloth is the best way to actually clean a floor, but don't actually want to do it that way. You will not like this mop if you like microfiber. You will not like this mop if you've ever believed a commercial for a magical cleaning solution. You will not like this mop if you have arthritis or something else that hinders ratcheting the mop so as to wring the water out fully. You will not like this mop if you've ever used the O-Cedar Microfiber Twist mop or the Libman Wonder mop and liked it. The Libman Wonder mop is the WORST mop I've ever used - hands Down! This mop is not suited for hardwood floors, or floors that are really super flat and shiny. I've used a mop like this one for hardwoods with a terry cloth rag covering. https://www.amazon.com/Cedar-Hardwood-Microfiber-Telescoping-Handle/dp/B06XWJV9PN/ref=sr_1_1_sspa Just like with this Rubbermaid mop I would wash out the piece that's cleaning the floor quite often. One thing about the Rubbermaid Ratchet Mop that can be slightly annoying is that if it doesn't go through the right loop when you go to wring it you'll have to stop and readjust, but I'm not giving it less stars because of this since I don't think it could be made any other way and have it still work as well. ... show more

  • Better than microfiber
Style: Cotton Twist Mop
I had originally purchased a microfiber fancy mop and spent more than I care to admit to. My floors are over 80 years old so of course there are tiny splinters that microfiber grabs onto, whether you rip parts of your mop off and it sticks to the floor or you rip parts of the floor off microfiber just wasnt for this floor. The Rubbermaid mop with yarn was exactly perfect! It didn't snag on the tiny splinters and it wrang out perfectly. It was easy to rinse and twist. If the plastic piece fails I know I can use a heavy duty zip tie to make it work just as well. I will never buy any other type or brand. Although it didn't come with the extra head that the advertisement said it did. If you have hardwood floors get this one. ... show more

  • Great mop
Style: Cotton Twist Mop
I really like this mop, but it is just too expensive. It is a good quality mop. You don't have to get your hands wet to ring the mop out. Heavy duty mop.

  • Ordering Another!
Style: Cotton Twist Mop
I am ordering my second one! The first one I had lasted 3-4 years and now there are a couple of rope strands that are falling apart. It works well, easy to ring out and ropes get into the crevices and grout.

  • That’s it for Rubbermaid
Style: Cotton Twist Mop
Used to buy these at Wally World for twenty bucks. Just spent twice the amount here and it broke on the second wring out. Using this in my home not commercially. Plastic push through clip at the bottom of the handle busted, its main purpose is so you can twist the handle and wring it out…not happy

  • Different but really works
Style: Cotton Twist Mop
This mop is wrung out by twisting the pole it's attached to. It seems strange but once you get the hang of it it works very well. Sometimes a sponge mop won't get into corners and under crevices like you want so this rag mop is essential for doing a good job in those areas. I pushed too hard when releasing it from the wringer stage back into a normal mop head and the entire head came off. I was able to fix it with a heavy duty zip tie so that now it's sturdier than when it was new. A mop shouldn't be delicate. They need to take rough handling. This one does now with the better tie. It won't come off again. I didn't deduct any stars because perhaps others can use it without the problem I had and I really like the design. ... show more

  • Not as dry as I hoped
Style: Cotton Twist Mop
Maybe it's because I'm used to wringing my mops on those pail attachments that I find this a little weak. It does the job but I wish it did the job better. I prefer a dryer mop since my apartment is not as ventilated as I would like for the floor to dry faster. What I like: 1. Twisting action is good, no pail attachments for me = less hassle 2. The little pad at the bottom means that my floor doesn't get scratched What I don't like: 1. The bottom doesn't seem to be attached too strongly to the handle. When I try to twist it harder to wring more water out of it, the base starts turning a little. I ease off the force for fear that it will just drop off, but this means I get a wetter mop. 2. The red ridges at the bottom part of the mop is great for the latch to ensure that your mop doesn't untwist itself, but it means that when you try to get a really good squeeze, you'll have to be gripping that portion hard and that area is really not very good for a firm grip. I'll continue using it until it breaks, but when that happens I will likely go back to using the trusty pail attachments. ... show more
