Floor cleaner works well on hardwood floors. Assembly was easy. Big problem installing large bottle of cleaner. Instructions tell you to insert the bottle directly into the chamber. There is no way that large bottle can go into the chamber. After a lot of trying and a lot of swearing, I opened the large bottle of cleaner and filled a smaller bottle that have. I filled the small bottle and easily put it into the chamber where it fit perfectly. Then, cleaned my hardwood floor with ease and perfection.

I purchased this for my home, and it has made cleaning so much easier. It is quick, easy to use, and works really well for keeping floors looking clean without a lot of effort. This is only the second Swiffer mop I have owned! The first I purchased when I moved into my home in 2009, so that is a testament to the original quality of this product! This new unit is smaller in the handle length and not as wide in that circumference. There is only one clip area inserting into the bottom handle where the older model had two, making it about an inch longer for the older model than the one inch for new one. I like the manner in which it sprays - it is closer to the mop - spraying starting at 4 inches to 10 inches for a 6 inch spread forward and pools into 8 inches across. The original mop sprayed a good foot out and a little wider than that so it was very difficult to get into smaller spaces that maybe needed some cleaning fluid but you knew better than to soak the wall. New model only uses 2 'AA' batteries which is good, it will be interesting to see how long they last with less power of the original 4. This particular mop came with a small container of starter cleaner, the batteries, a 10 pack of mop cloths as well as 2 or 4 more that would originally come with a purchase. As the old one it gets into all the nooks and under what I need I only have one complaint - the handle is not as heavy duty, and it is shorter by almost 10 inches if not a foot so I have to also get into these small areas or closer to the floor to get under things. The bottle of cleaner is heavy and so makes the smaller unit difficult to hang on to because the handle is also much smaller and you really have to hold it in order to control it. The button for the cleaner is right there at the handle and yes you want to be able to dispense as you go, but normally I stop and aim first so the button being at the turn edge of the handle was not a big deal on the older one because literally it was farther away on the big handle. Now it is right there and constantly trying to get a good grip on the unit I continually hit the sprayer button. Now my items on the pantry floor are wet with cleaner - bottles of water and so forth. Of course now I will have to live with that but honestly - I can run my heavy vacuum with less issues than trying to hold on to this flimsy handle and neck. It was enough that it will make me think twice about wanting to just 'clean real quick' that won't be an option. Thus the four stars.

What a neat Product! This is roughly the same price in stores but it has x4 extra heavy pads and x6 regular pads and a mini bottle of spray that will likely last through all 10 pads. (The ones in stores only have x2 heavy duty and x3 regular, so this pack includes double the mop pads than the store versions for the same price, which I think is important to note if you are solely focused on price). I was at the store yesterday comparing what I got to a store version (before it got delivered) and that is when I noticed that they are the same price but you get double the amount of pads in this starter kit (which from what I saw is about a $9.99 savings value in mop pads for a x5 pad refill box)… the trial sized bottle of cleaning solution will likely go out before you need to buy new mop pads. It does not take that much spray to clean. I suspect I could do a full floor mop about 40 times before the liquid would be gone, judging from the amount I copiously used on my first time. Overall, it’s worth it. Yeah it’s the same price as stores, but you get double the amount of pods and the pads are not exactly cheap. I also heard, although I would use caution doing this, that when the liquid is gone, you can drill a small hole into the bottle, dump in some floor cleaner you have, then either tape it shut or cork it shut (near the bottom since the bottle is inverted when being used, and the top has a rubber seal to prevent leakage while also feeding in the cleaning solution). I have not tried that, but I will. It also HAS batteries included (they are in the “normal” pad bag, somewhat hidden)… at first I thought they didn’t come in the package due to some other Amazon reviews, and I have no spare batteries, so I thought I was out of luck until I started feeling into the sealed mop pad replacement bags… There is even a little text on the plastic packaging on the pad bag that says “batteries inside”. I am glad I checked in every bag since I genuinely thought I didn’t get batteries which would have been very upsetting (batteries are like $5 now). While I vacuum my floors every 3 days, I smartjetted my apartment floor (first time in 3 years) with the heavy pad and was surprised how much invisible soot is on the floor. It feels cleaner when I walk barefoot, and it “looks” much cleaner; and if the refill solution kills 99.9% of bacteria like it says it does, even doing a pass on a clean looking floor helps actually clean it without just looking clean (like vacuuming). Although vacuum your floors first before using the wet jet. If there are little crumbs and bits of stuff on the ground, it’s not going to let the middle scrubbing pad fully make contact with the ground… although it surprising picked up all those little bits my vacuumed missed and keep them sealed inside the mop pad, so there was not loose debris when I took the pad off, which is a plus since gross debris falling off as you switch pads sort of negates the cleanliness of it all (and that does not happen). Also, this must be an updated/industrial grade Swiffer, it has the plastic shaped Velcro notches on the bottom of the mop head, so you just press on a pad. The older one’s you had to pinch the corners into little rubber slots. The pads still have extra fabric if you have an older wet jet that you need to pinch in the fabric corners to hold the pad on, but this new one you can just lay a pad on the floor and tap it with the mop piece and it connects. You should get one of these. You’d be surprised what your floors actually look like even if you take good care of them, when you actually get them wet and scrub (which is easy with this wet jet… it’s like vacuuming but mopping) no gross mop buckets and no hands and knees scrubbing. I would whole heartedly recommend!

I have tried tons of mops and this one is by far my favorite. I recently purchased the Swiffer Jet, and it has significantly changed my cleaning routine for the better. I have tried tons of mops and this one is by far my favorite. Here's my experience with the product: Ease of Assembly and Use: The Swiffer Jet was incredibly easy to assemble right out of the box. The instructions were clear, and I had it ready to use in just a few minutes. The design is user-friendly, and the lightweight nature of the mop makes it easy to maneuver around furniture and tight corners. Cleaning Efficiency: The cleaning pads are quite effective at picking up dirt, dust, and hair from my hardwood and tiled floors. The spray mechanism dispenses just the right amount of cleaning solution, ensuring that the floors are not overly wet, which is a big plus for hardwood surfaces. Scent and Cleaning Solution: The cleaning solution that comes with the Swiffer Jet leaves a fresh and clean scent without being overpowering. It does a good job of handling light to medium floor dirt, but for tougher stains, I sometimes need to go over the area a few times. Cost-Effectiveness: While the Swiffer Jet is reasonably priced, the recurring cost of purchasing replacement cleaning pads and solution can add up. However, for the convenience and time saved, I find it to be a worthwhile investment.
