I "had" one of the older style swiffers for awhile that one worked ok but it was a pain to keep the mop heads in place on the mop. My mobility isn't the best and i don't have anyone to do the cleaning so I was looking for something easy to deal with to mop the floors with. This was pretty easy to assemble but I suggest buying your own set of two alkaline batteries because the two cheapo batteries that came with my unit were dead or almost dead and couldn't do the job. The batteries exist only to spray solution out the front of the mop (two sprayers one on either side of mop head). I suspect this won't work with regular rechargeable batteries (1.2v) most items that have some variety of motor or pump need the full 1.5v of voltage supplied by disposable batteries. If you've got a set of lithium rechargeables those may work because they do supply 1.5v instead of the 1.2v of other types of rechargeable. Assembly was nothing, it just snaps together the only slightly annoying moment was the extra cable going to the switch for the sprayers, it took a little doing to stuff the extra length down into the handle. For the rest there's a piece of cardboard to remove under the sprayer bottle and you have to install the batteries into the holder on the back of the spray bottle area. Attaching the mop head was easy, it just sticks like velcro and it does not fall off. I used this thing hard and long and it didn't try to fall off once. The mop heads are disposable but if you're an old tight wad like me you should be able to toss it in the sink and rinse off "most" of the dirt and use it again at least once if you want to. The package comes with one solution bottle which is supposed to be good for about five mop heads and two new mop heads. I have seen someone selling refillable solution bottles and machine washable heads for this mop. It works well, I have a new puppy and I had muddy paw prints everyplace plus the occasional landmine because we don't know where we do the business yet. Everyday use: Because of my bad back I either have a cane in one hand or I'm holding onto something so I mostly push this mop one handed. It does exactly what you'd expect it to do, try to fly off in every direction except the one you want it to go in. The sprayers at the front of the mop head do a good job of getting solution where it needs to go, the sprayer is so quiet you can hardly tell it worked when you pushed the button most of the time so just look for the liquid on the floor. It's best to let the mop head get a little bit saturated with fluid before trying any heavy dirt it works much better that way I have found. I'm satisfied with this was much easier than digging out a bucket, filling it with water (which is then heavy) and then trying to muscle it around where it needed to be. The cleaning solution has a nice not too overpowering odor that makes the room smell nice. I think this was mostly designed for "light" cleaning but it can handle some pretty heavy dirt as well, great for messy floors caused by the two legged and four legged mammals in the house and just to get the dirt off the floor. I have vinyl flooring works great and does not stay slippery for long periods while it dries and it dries very fast. I don't know if there is any way besides making the whole mop heavier to address the one handed steering issue but I imagine I'll figure that out as I use it. I will keep this around for quick grab cleanups but I am going to buy something like the ryobi usb unit that offers some "head agitation" to get the tougher grime off the floor, this works but it just takes too much effort I need some technological intervention to deal with the stuck on messes. You can spend a lot on a spin mop with scrubber heads I'm not ready to spend three hundred dollars for sure but there are cheaper alternatives that should take care of what I need for less cash.

I have a larger kitchen that gets very dirty on the farm with the traffic and pets in the house but this mop is great for quick clean-ups when i don't want to drag out a normal mop and i think it does a great job - just like a regular mop. The only drawback that i have noticed is that it does get expensive to buy the solution and mop heads for it compared to a normal mop that you rinse out or throw in the washer to clean it up and it just uses water and a little cleaning solution. This Swiffer mop does make the kitchen smell nice however when you are done and the solution is quick drying which is nice.

I really should have purchased this long ago. Mopping my tile floors changed from a household chore I kind of dreaded to a piece of cake. I had a Swiffer steam mop for ten years of which the steam function stopped working about four years ago. I was buying the Swiffer flat, wet, drippy cloth refills and just clipping them on. It took 8 to 10 cloths to clean all of my tile floors (we do not wear shoes in our house as we do have some carpeted areas as well). We do have 2 dogs. I have used this once and I am incredibly happy! The pad is so very effective at “trapping and locking dirt” just like the commercial on TV says it will. It only took ONE pad to clean all of my tile floors (about 700 square feet). I did use a dry microfiber cloth mop first as the enclosed directions suggested, which only took about 5 minutes. You don’t have to do that. I just wanted to pick up the dog hair first. Since I didn’t have to keep changing pads the whole job took only 15 minutes including cleaning all of the baseboards, which it cleaned beautifully. I didn’t have to keep changing the pads like I did before, which makes the task so much longer because the old pads had to be attached at all 4 corners of the mop’s base. I have to give praise to the cleaning solution. My floors are so clean. No streaks, drip marks or sticky spots. The mop itself is made out of high quality materials. The handle is curved and super comfortable to hold. The assembly only took about 30 seconds. Just snap it together, put in the batteries (included) and place the bottle of solution in the front. I have not experienced any leaking. One thing you might want to consider if you have an expanse of floors to clean is the cost of the replacement pads. I think one of the reviews said they washed and reused the pads. I’m going to use a new one each time because it only takes one or two to do the job. The performance of this mop, cleaning solution and pads have me planning to buy the genuine refills. I guess I’ll have to wait and see how long the batteries last.

I’ll start by saying I have 2 cats, 3 dogs, and a messy husband, so messes happen often at my house. I was looking for a mop that would be better than the heavy regular mop and bucket combo you have to drag everywhere. My husband and I have back problems so the constant bucket moving isn’t great. I thought this would be an ok substitute for the general floor cleaning so I’d only have to do a major clean with the regular mop and bucket from time to time. I was wrong. This works so well; especially with how the cleaning pads can scrub previously dried messy spots on my vinyl floors. The height is just right and It is so light weight. It cut through everything on my floors so fast that I was able to do the whole house without hurting at all. The scent that it comes with is so fresh and lovely and they have so many other scents you can buy as well. This purchase is one of my best this year.

i tried this mop and was initially impressed by the ease of use. It also is designed with being able to get into tight places that other mops would have trouble with. Ths pad sticks ont he head of the mop securely and easily, and it's nice you can clean it up after using it in preparation for the next use. I have only one complaint which I'm not sure if it's a defect with the one I received or not. I had a full bottle of cleaning solution I just put on the mop after receiving it and use maybe 2 or 3 squirts from it. I put it away and the next morning I went to use it and the solution had mostly drained away without the button being depressed to release the solution. Needless to say this is not satisfactory since the solution is not going to be cheap at this rate. I'm going to wait to see what happens after I put a new bottle of solution and see what happens. I like the mop for design at this time but I'm going to wait to update my experiences with the solution issue somehow disappearing when NOBODY touched the mop during that time. I would have given this a 5 star if not already having this issue with the solution uncommanded leakage out of the box When using it the spray effectiveness was perfect.. If I'm able to update and I have positive results with my next bottle of solution. I may change my overall rating higher. UPDATE: It appears my first bottle of leaked fluid may have had a loose cap or defective. I replaced it with a new bottle of solution and absolutely NO leakage. I also don't recommend cleaning the pads because they lose their ability to stay together or stick to the mop. The pads are more of a throw away item once they're used for awhile.

It's been a little over a year so I think I have used it enough to evaluate. I am not as impressed as I had hoped to be. Worst feature is that it makes no noise so you don't have the nice little buzz to tell you if it's spraying. It is not as smooth working as the original Swiffer. I do like the design & efficiency of the mop pads, however I think some of the generics are better. I order 30-50 at a time because I have two dogs and mopping is easier. I wish they made a disinfecting choice for bathrooms and puppy accidents! It tends to spray my walls above my baseboards sometimes so I have to watch which way I am spraying the solutions far to often. The commercials make it look like baseboards are a real breeze, However I seem to struggle with getting the right angles and again, trying not to spray my painted walls. I will evaluate again before I buy a replacement. Cost, improvements and larger bottles.
