I live in a sunny state, and this thing hasn't faded after about three months, which is nice. The quality of the plastic is super high. Screwing into it. It has a high storage capacity and is, I would say, mostly waterproof, but I have seen water in it. I'm not sure if it's from rain or wet items going in. Either looks excellent, and my husband loves it. Just to raise awareness, though, putting this together was a nightmare, but once together, it is very solid. I'm also pretty good at this stuff, and this one made Ikea seem like it was made for infants.

This box is great. It’s the largest one that I could find to still fit on my narrow porch. I need to trade stuff off with my children’s father and often there is a lot of stuff. It’s great that it is suitable for a lock. I had a hard time putting it together solo but made it work. Took me about an hour because I had to wrangle the pieces together. It would’ve been great to have help when interlocking the base with the sides. I wish there were more color choices, but this works great! Little more money than I wanted to spend, but I found the same price everywhere else for this product. And again it was the only one at this size that locked.

So far it seems good - the floor slides into a grooved area on the sides to latch into place which speeds up installation nicely BUT it's a PITA to get it to line up IF you don't follow the instructions precisely! I did it myself but it's gone a lot faster if there were 2 people helping, and I suggest you do this in the garage as doing this in the sun with the wind blowing is just dumb. Overall, however, thing just lined up and fit once I realized I was trying to put the floor on upside down :) We intend to keep the furniture covers and some small cushions in here so as to not always run them into the dining room whenever it rains. Now that I've done it once, the 2nd time I'd take 5 minutes - buy bigger than you think you'd need it - I had to argue to get the larger one and already my wife has filled it (and she wanted the smaller one initially!) Recommended.

I looked at a lot of things on amazon to hold deliveries. I have a covered porch so rain not much of a problem. I don't sit there, although that wouldn't be a deal breaker but all of the storage benches didn't hold enough. Many of the boxes were too long to fit on the porch. I needed something less than 36 inches long but big enough to hold larger boxes or several Amazon Fresh deliveries. That is assuming UPS, FedEx or even Amazon will use this box. I have had problems with stolen packages and have two thieves on security cam. But of course, the authorities do nothing about it but tell you to bring your mail in right away. That's fine if you're home but I needed a solution for when I am not. My USPS carrier *will* use the box as we have discussed the theft problem before and I'm not the only one. The box arrived at11:50 and I had it assembled by 1pm all by myself. Minimal tools needed but I did need a screwdriver and either a socket wrench or an open end wrench. All parts were included (plus one extra screw and I appreciate that.) The directions were clear and it went together easily. While they do recommend two people I put it together alone quite easily. The design and construction seems quite sturdy and adequate to my purpose. While I wouldn't sit on it I imagine you could as long as you don't weigh to much. Since this will sit on my porch I also spray painted it to match my house, so construction was actually less than an hour as the remainder of the 70 min. was spent spray painting the top front and both sides. Once the paint is dry I will be attaching labels to direct USPS, FedEx, UPS and Amazon to place deliveries in the box. I will also be adding labels warning that mail theft is a Federal Felony resulting in up to 5 years in prison and $250,000 fines. Plus a warning that they should smile as they are on security cams. Will it stop them? No. You can never stop them, just slow them down. There is a loop on the front to padlock the lid and box together but it would be easy to cut through the plastic so I don't consider this a secure solution. It is mostly to get deliveries out of sight and to further warn them about theft, should they be caught. For that purpose, this is perfect. I plan to put insulation around the sides and top so that if amazon fresh delivers, groceries will be insulated at least somewhat.

What kind of garbage is this? The sides are bowing out because the bottom brackets don’t line up to secure the base. It needs two people or a wall to put together. It’s definitely not Rubbermaid quality. If I hadn’t thrown my other one out and have a huge party coming out and thrown everything away this would be going back. I will have to figure out somehow to keep the bugs out now. This is the most ridiculous garbage I’ve bought. The size is good, and sure it’s pretty, but what good does that do. So upset about this.

Purchased for use on a deck for cushions, blankets, etc. It's OK at best. It's made of thin "plastic" that I suspect will warp before the end of summer. I'm not sure I'd call it weather resistant as there are good-sized gaps that will let the weather in. It also does not sit square - the lid is wonky. It just does not feel not sturdy. As others mentioned, the directions are a bit vague but I put it together in about 30 minutes. It is a nice color brown, has an attractive weave pattern and for now, looks nice sitting on the deck. The size is good for a medium sized deck - it easily fits 4 pillows and five heavy duty outdoor furniture covers with room to spare. I believe it is better suited for a covered porch or patio than a deck.

I liked that it arrived in a timely fashion. I disliked the fact it didn't have any hardware to assemble the box. Edited to add: After a month, I was able to get Rubbermaid to send me hardware. Actually, they sent a whole new deck box. Assembly was easy, I ditched the stupid lid straps to keep the lid from opening too far, as I was using this for bulk deliveries, not deck cushions. So far, it has held up to numerous summer storms with out issues and the packages inside have been kept dry. I did toss a couple of bags of gravel inside to keep the box from being blown away. Other than the initial delievery, the box is serving it's intended purpose. Edited again: After 3 months and numerous summer storms, this deck box has stayed dry inside and my packages have been unharmed. I am also using a small snap link (carabiner) to keep the box closed so the wind will not blow it open. I have been very pleased with it so far. This winter will be the real deciding factor. UPDATE: After Helene, this box has been great. It survived the rain and winds without an issue. And the two bags of gravel kept it in place. There was NO water inside, the little snap link held the lid down during the winds and rain. With all the roads and bridges washed out, it will be a while before it gets used with all the roads and bridges washed out.
