It's hard to rate 5 stars when it isn't excellent. This is only OK. white plastic clips are used when color matched would have been a more refined, and 5 star, product. I'd have preferred regular steel and coated screws. These screws are non magnetic, so they have to be held in place. Try holding a screwdriver in one hand, the screw while you get it going in the other, whilst simultaneously holding two plastic panels together. To say frustrating was an understatement. A rivals product has screws that a magnetic bit holds and assembly is literally twice as fast, at least. Its just OK. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. We are seasonal RVers. Since our camper is a small one, I don’t have much kitchen storage or prep space inside the camper. I purchased this cabinet to use as an outdoor “kitchen.” Inside I store all of my kitchen equipment (coffee maker, coffee fixings, air fryer, toaster, toaster oven, 6 quart crockpot, utensils, an electric stove top and coffee mugs.) There is plenty of room on the 2 shelves. Every morning (in good weather) I pop the coffee pot on top and make breakfast. The top is slightly rounded for water runoff, but it doesn’t affect using it as a work surface. The door locks, so when we leave the camp for a few days to go back home, I just lock it up. Love this cabinet. It’s sturdy and looks far better than I expected. It definitely takes two people to assemble just to hold in place while the other person puts the screws in place. The cabinet arrived with a damaged lid corner. Rubbermaid had no replacement lids in stock so they sent me an entire new cabinet! It arrived in perfect condition. It’s well built and looks good too, I’m sure the lid on the original unit was damaged by the shipper

Purchased from Amazon, price seemed to be comparable to other locations (online, walmart, etc.) It looks very neat, wont rot crack, chip -- maintenance free. Clean appearance & easy to assemble. I did add a bead of caulk to the inside bottom of cabinet to keep out any 'visitors' since it is outdoors and bugs love to crawl in dark places they're not wanted ... show more

I purchased this to hold equipment for our rural water. It is going to be more than adequate in size and looks nice. It is fairly sturdy (although I will address this later). These are the issues I ran into: 1) Nowhere in the description does it say you have to put it together. It took 2 people 2 hours! 2) This is not a one-person job. You need someone to hold down various areas when screwing it together. 3) Speaking of screws, Rubbermaid you could have separated the screws into separate little bags. One big bag of screws and then the rest of them thrown together. Considering it cost over $200 - 3 little bags wouldn't kill your profit. 4) Nowhere in the description does it say you will need a drill to put it together. This would be good info to have in the description. I have read and re-read the description and nope, not mentioned. I didn't have a drill but luckily my friend did. 5) It is sturdy BUT if you lift the unit by the lid, the door pops out! It was well put together so this seems to be a design flaw. All-in-all I am happy with this purchase, but I think Rubbermaid could add a few more details. ... show more

Rubbermaid created a quality product from a materials and design standpoint, but failed miserably at creating useful instructions to actually Help the consumer assemble the product. For a company that has been a leader in their market, it is a shame they would not spend a few dollars (literally) to produce a written set of instructions with decent illustrations (theirs aren't). Tips for potential buyers. Use a magnetic tipped screw driver bit. Also, the screws are very difficult to hold in place on slick plastic that has a large spot to start them (molding requirement). The best way to overcome this, and avoid many frustrating moments of screws slipping out of your grasp just as you are getting ready to drive the screw, is to use a little dab of putty. Place the putty in the screw entry. The screw then has a medium to hold it for you, and no slipping out of your grasp. Many of the screw positions were very awkward We also decided that the shelf needed to be placed at a different height than one of the 3 or 4 heights (a nice feature) that the product offered. We shaved the detents off of the shelf clips, and screwed them into the wall itself. No problem holding. This really shouldn't need to be a 2 person job, but Rubbermaid saved a few dollars, and let the customer sweat it out for a few hours. They should do better. ... show more
