This clip on side bin is amazing, I only wish I found it sooner! At my desk I primarily recycle but still need a small trash bin for trash items. This is perfect to attach onto the Rubbermaid recycle bin and saves me the space of having to have a separate trash bin. Terrific. I'd been looking for this kind of thing for quite some time. As long as you have a Rubbermaid trash can, it works great. I have another style that I picked up years ago that will hook to the outside of any trash can, but I can't find them any longer.

Someone earlier complained that this little side bin would not work with the Rubbermaid 10 gallon trash can, but I’m here to tell you that it most certainly does. Although it doesn’t attach to the exterior very well, it fits nicely on the interior rim.

We have composting services through our city. But I didn't have a great place to store another bin in the kitchen. This hooks into our existing trash can making it easy to sort items into compost. I suggest the Glad brand compost bags to fit inside this container.

My household mainly recycles, although we do trash small items daily. With this hanging bin set on my recycling bins, I save a lot of space from completely eliminating the need for a 2ndary garbage bin in each room.
