I received it very fast of course and I put it in the puppies outside run for bathing. They are loving it and it works really awesome. I plan to buy at least 3 more. The 50 gal is long more than it is deep but it is plenty deep enough to bathe puppies and even large dogs in. We have large German Shepherds and this is perfect! I plan to put one in each puppy playground for a pool during the summer months. They can chew it for sure over time but I plan to teach them not to (keeping fingers crossed it works). One of the great things about GSD' (although there are many) is that they are very smart and learn FAST! I highly recommend this item. I seen some pics of defected ones and I can see that happening with any product. Sadly defects sometimes make it through shipping without being detected, and it sucks when you are the one getting it, but as long as the company refunds or reships, that is just how life goes sometimes. However, clearly those are the exceptions with this product from my own experience and having the product, and the many other great reviews. For those that got the bad one(s), I would recommend having a new one reshipped, I think you will be glad you did. ... show more

    • Lasts for years!
I bought this in 2017, it has been with the same pigs since then. They use it to drink out of and when the ground is dry they lay in it. We are talking 500 lb hogs, so I would say it's pretty sturdy. Out of the seven that I own they have only managed to break one, and it cracked at the top. I simply turned it into a dry feeder instead. I also own the larger versions for watering my sheep and cows at one section of the field that does not have good access to other water. The 50-gallon version I have did not come with a drain plug, so I don't know if that's something they've added since 2017 but it would be nice to have. Warning: if you are going to add the automatic filler adapter it must be on very level ground, I do not recommend dirt as the animals often cause it to overflow and it becomes uneven which will cause the float valve to not realize that it is spilling over.     • These Rubbermaid Troughs Are The Easiest For Me To Handle!
Running cattle can be an adventure with water. I needed the smaller stock tank to match up to the twin I already have. Cattle, though having huge stock tanks a hundred yards away, will always want water where you don't have it. These Rubbermaid tanks are much lighter IN WEIGHT, but very sturdy as they are outside through weather that's anywhere from 100 degrees above to 30 degrees below zero. Really the only tanks I use as when empty, I can still maneuver them where I want them. As far as this seller, they did a bang up job getting the tanks to me in a timely fashion, considering the way transport is going lately. ... show more

I ordered this for my dogs to play in and an outdoor tub. One of the things I most wanted was the drain hole. It doesn’t have one. Other than that my dog loves it. He has torn wading pools up but this is heavy duty enough to last

This is a great, long-lasting and inexpensive stock tank, which I use as a makeshift pond. It is much less expensive than most of the other preformed pond liners and very stable for above-ground use. My only concern is that when I received the tank, it was shipped with no protection but arrived undamaged, which I guess speaks ever more to its durability. In all the time I have had it, it has not cracked or shown any other signs of wear or damage from the sun, rain, wind, heat or cold (granted we do not get freezing temperatures where I live). My fish, snails and plants have not shown any adverse reactions to the plastic used to make this tank. Now if only the raccoons would stay away. I made a wire screen around the whole "pond" since the last raid out of PVC pipes, hardware cloth and chicken wire. The screen is an eyesore but at least the raccoons have not been able to get any more fish. The photo is what it used to look like before the screen was installed. ... show more

    • Heavy duty! Great as a bathtub!
Extremely happy with this tank. At our house, we use it as a bathtub for our little kids. It's super duper sturdy and there is not a chance, not even the smallest of the chances, that this tank won't last for as long as we wish to keep it. It's big enough to even fit an adult in it, and my kids think it's the coolest thing ever. We recently remodeled the house and made the huge mistake of getting rid of our bathtubs. Kids are happy they can have a fun bubble bath and we are happy we spent our money on a high quality product such as this one! :) Happy customer!!! ... show more

Great for a dog pool!! Our Husky LOVES to 'swim' in it & cool off. I bought this due to the other reviewer's information & the other buyers were pretty much spot on. This is much lighter weight than anticipated. It does come in a big box, but surprisingly, there was no box damage & there is sufficient packing to keep the tank safe during transit. We already had to clean it out since the dog loves it so much & it is not hard to handle. This one does not have a drain plug, but as lightweight as it is, you really don't need it. We contemplated getting the next size up, but didn't want the tank too deep, in case our other dogs jumped in, we wanted them to be able to get out. ... show more
