This is probably one of the smartest purchases I've made in a long time. I live in a high-rise apartment building with laundry facilities downstairs, which I don't really mind that. However, for years and years (and years) I've been carrying two full and very heavy laundry bags (and supplies - detergent, fabric softer) down the hall, wait for the elevator while juggling all this stuff, dragging it all onto the elevator still juggling it, dragging it into the laundry room (whew!), and then have to get it all into the washers. Then, when it's all done, stuff all of the washed clothes back into those two heavy bags, back up a sometimes crowded elevator, drag it back to my door (while juggling it all and fumbling for the keys), then dragging it into my apartment (whew!) all the time trying to keep it from touching the dirty floor. So I was looking for another laundry bag since one had been ripped up, and I came across this cart sort of by chance - wasn't looking for this and definitely didn't plan on spending this much on a "laundry bag". Long story short, this cart (after one use today) literally changed my life. I can easily fit 4-5 weeks of laundry into it, and it rolls easily down the hall and easily into the laundry room - plus supplies in the cart as well (I'm not carrying anything!). Then, when the clothes are dry, I just drop them into the cart and wheel them easily upstairs. It's just unbelievable how a chore that used to be miserable is now so easy. Plus, this cart folds up nicely and I can put it in the closet. Smartest. Purchase. I've. Made. I looked at some of the other laundry carts with wheels, and they look too small an the reviews were not great. Plus, I didn't want a granny cart - no way - not my style. This is perfect. I can see using it for moving things around like going on a weekend trip, or when you move from one place to another. I'm so glad I got it - don't hesitate - get one! You won't be sorry. Rubbermaid to me means durable and quality - this will last a long time and save my back as well from dragging heavy loads of laundry back and forth. While moving locally, I decided it would be easier to not just use boxes put to move those boxes and anything awkwardly shaped in the this cart, throw it into the back of my compact SUV, then use it to unload. 1) The cart is light enough to repeatedly lift in and out of car. 2) It holds quite a lot stuff, particularly if you are good at Tetris. 3) I have been loading this with heavy items and so far so good seems durable. 4) Super easy to steer, no crazy wheels behavior and seems to be handle going down some stairs without much issue. 5) Makes it through standard doorways without issue. 6) Collapses and expands super easy. 7) I could fit about 2.5 cart loads into my small SUV. Better yet I don't have to leave my car unlocked and unattended for a long period of time while moving. I can load it up in the house and then just do three loads instead of walking back and forth. Also because you have the cart you can look at your car and the cart and figure out better how to maximize the space. Which you can't do if you are carrying things out bit by bit. 9) Get this cart and good pair of work gloves to move all said items and your body will thank you! 10) FYI... Seriously, it’s an investment. But this way the only way I have tamed the laundry clutter. Before, we would have 5+ baskets that were overflowing with laundry all the time. We ended up with broken plastic laundry baskets and they also ended up flipped over and people stepping all over the laundry. Now, everybody has a laundry day Monday- Friday ( each person). Then all the clean laundry gets thrown directly into this giant laundry bin. On Saturday, I roll this giant laundry bin into the living room and everyone sorts their clothes out and we spend the morning putting our clothes away from the week. *I was hesitant to spend so much on a laundry hamper. I had it in my cart for over a month. Then I realized that this laundry cart could fix all my stress around laundry- so I decided to take a chance on it… I am so happy with the results of this system. This is the only thing that has worked for my family and I encourage other families to invest, because it makes laundry so much less stressful. I think it is somewhat expensive. I believe its weight maximum is 300lbs . We got no where near that and the Velcro gave way a few times. All in all we were thankful we didn’t have to carry anything; we just had to push/pull the cart. It held up.
