I have a similar set in plastic (Rubbermade Brillance) so when I saw that it was available in glass, I bought it. Plastic containers will crack and discolor, the glass set has not. The lids are interchangeable between the two sets. They make a tight seal and keep the food fresh. They are dishwasher safe but I wash the lids by hand. They are heavier than the plastic. Feel thick and sturdy but, obviously, they are glass and would break if dropped. ... show more

I wanted to get away from the plastic containers and go with glass. The trade-off is glass containers will be heavier. But we’re good with that. Pros: * Seals tight. I filled them all up with water and turn them upside down and none of them leaked. * Durable. While we wash the glass in the dishwasher, we still choose to wash the tops by hand even though they say they are dishwasher safe. Unlike some brands, these tops appear very durable. Looks like this set will last for many years. * Interchangeable tops. Several of the sizes use the same tops. * Stackable. This style stacks better than any that we’ve had before. I really like the rectangle sizes. They Stack in the cabinets or refrigerator more efficiently than our old round ones. They also fit perfectly in our lunch box for work. * Sizes. Everyone’s needs are different but these particular sizes meet our needs perfectly. No itty-bitty containers. Perfect sizes for leftovers and lunches. Cons: * Price. I did not go looking for other options to see if this set was significantly cheaper elsewhere. But they do appear a bit pricey. * My issue was trying to find the sizes of the containers that are included in this nine piece set (9 containers with 9 tops). So below is what we received: 1 (8 cup) @ 11-1/2” x 7-1/2” x 2-3/4” tall 1 (4.7 cup) @ 8” x 5-1/4” x 3-1/2” tall 2 (3.2 cups) @ 8” x 5-14” x 2-1/2” tall 2 (2 cups) @ 8” x 5-14” x 2” tall 3 (1.3 cups) @ 5-3/4” x 3-3/4” x 2-3/4” tall After using this set for a few more months, we will see what sizes we use most and supplement it with more of the same brand of containers. We like doing our food prep over the weekends and this style is perfect for our needs. They do keep our food fresher for a longer period of time due to the tight seal. America Test Kitchen highly recommends this glass food storage container and I totally agree with them. The lid and container are microwave safe. The glass container is oven safe. The lid mades a solid leak-proof seal. The clear glass makes it easy to see what it contains without having to open it up. I use the 2 cup and 3.2 cup containers to store single servings of my left-overs. This makes it easy to just pop a container in the microwave, heat it up, and eat it directly from the container. Be very careful with Rubbermaid if you are seeking to buy glass, they have these in plastic as well and I had to cancel them because I wanted the one that were glass. Great product, the lids are great, you hear the air go in and out depending one putting on the lids or taking them off. Seals work, they do not leak. The sizes are ok, wish they had more of these in different sizes but Rubbermaid does not have any more round storage containers and that is a shame, I love the fact they are great value for the money because the reality is they will last for years to come. Durable and safe, have not chipped or cracked from refrigerator, dishwasher or freezer so far. They do work for stacking and are dishwasher safe. I put them on the top shelf of my dishwasher and the big one on the bottom. I fully recommend using them and buying them. I don't label but you can label them because the glass is thick and study, I wouldn't recommend labeling the lids because they are not glass and I do not know what the plastic is they are using on it but I don't believe it would be easy to remove. ... show more

We are working our way out of using plastic food containers as much as possible. After much research, we bought a set of these, and now we have two sets because they are just about ideal. The sizes are varied enough for 90% of the food we need to store in the fridge. The containers are stackable both with and without lids, and fit great on our fridge shelves. Somehow the glass is even more see-through than plastic containers, or maybe it's the size/shape of these, but I feel like it is easier to see and tell what is in these than any containers we've used before. The lids close easily and with no loud noise (which I've seen with other types of closures, especially the kind with four tabs, and wanted to avoid). The only downside we have found is that the lids seal VERY tightly and can be hard to open once sealed. But that is more than outweighed by how EVERYTHING else about these containers is so well-designed for how we actually use them. They have turned out to be better than expected! love this glass storage! These containers seal like a vault! No food odors escape into your fridge. I switched to all glass for food storage, no more plastic. The lids are plastic, though. That may be my only caveat. If you push down too hard to seal the lid, they can crack right in the center. But it seems all lids for all brands and styles can have some sort of crack issue, so it's a trade off. I love the glass, its durable, can be used in the microwave and washed in the dishwasher, no special care required. No issues with staining or odor retention. I've had garlic/italian foods stored as well as mexican foods and no staining nor odors. ZERO issues with leaks. love them. Best in class right now for glass food storage. ... show more

I'm very happy with these storage dishes. The size is perfect for casseroles, and the flexibility to bake, freeze, and refrigerate in the same dish is great. They stack pretty well inside each other for cupboard organization, although the lids don't stack as well. The seals are great - strong, flexible, and working well after several runs through the dishwasher. They seal tightly enough that you need to pull pretty firmly to open them, and they haven't leaked. We have purchased both the glass version of this product as well as the plastic version. Buy the glass version. The plastic version does not hold up. We've thrown away several of the plastic versions and replaced with the glass. The plastic version is a lot lighter and easier to handle, but it doesn't last. We put the bottoms in the dishwasher and handwash the tops to ensure the rubber gaskets hold up. ... show more
