Well packaged, very sturdy unit

I bought these last year but only now was able to unpack and assemble them. Very impressed all around. The packaging was excellent. All of the corrugated panels were bubble wrapped and packed very neatly and securely. The instructions were crap but it's easy enough to figure out. They supply a generous amount of fasteners so you don't need to worry if something falls and rolls away. I built mine in my old barn and more than a few times I dropped a screw or wingnut that fell between the floorboards. No problem though. There were plenty left over. The paint finish seems to be excellent. There was no chipping or bare spots. When assembling, just me sure that all of your fasteners are installed on the right part of the corrugations. IOW, all your wingnuts on the "hills" or the "valleys". If you keep that in mind you can pre assemble sections without realizing you did the end caps different from the straight sides (like I did at first). Also, it's great that they give you wingnuts rather than regular nuts. It makes assembly so much easier, even if it is tedious.

Love my garden with these raised beds
He's raised beds or great I bought four of them. Took a lot to fill them but once it was done it's done. Been using these for 2 years now and they're holding up just fine well-made quality product.

Not Enough bolts and wing nuts. Needs better instructions for assembly.
Count the number of bolts, washers, and wing nuts you will need and the number that comes with this kit before you try to assemble it. You will probably have to go buy extras and will want to take a couple with you to the hardware store to match them. We needed about 6 more for each container than what was provided. I feel the company should pay me for those and the gas to drive to a hardware store!! If you cannot match them all, use the unmatched ones on the crossbars, since those will be covered anyway. If my husband were not a very experienced carpenter, I would have had a lot of trouble putting these together. He has rubber grip clamps to hold pieces together while installing the nuts and bolts. Unless you know to use some sort of clamp, it is very hard to hold the pieces in place while needing two hands to install each bolt and screw on the wing nut. As far as quality goes, some pieces had rough spots and mars on the exterior. It's good to look pieces over so you can choose to place any marred pieces near the ground where they may be covered. Also, the cross bars are not nearly as sturdy as I feel they should be. If they were stronger, I would probably have placed the upper ones a bit lower as they look like they will be in the way of planting. All in all, they still look pretty good and I'm really excited to start my new garden!! I'm just really glad my husband is experienced in construction.

Great for tomatoes

I ordered the Best Choice 4x2x2 ft. Sized bed. It comes in an oval shape with rounded sides. One thing I don’t like is the rubber edging—it doesn’t have the metal reinforcement that some other brands use, so it doesn’t stay attached as well. I’ve purchased several beds from this brand over the years, and the hardware does tend to rust eventually. That said, the metal panels themselves are much thicker and sturdier than many other brands I’ve bought. This is my favorite size raised bed because it fits two indeterminate tomato plants perfectly and the cages. The bed is also deep enough for plant roots like tomatoes. I also prefer the 2-foot height, and I’ve found that rounded beds tend to hold up better over time than square ones. This bed was actually slightly taller than the two feet,I think when I measured it was around 26 inches. I also ordered another one to turn into two shorter beds for my strawberries, which I’ve done before, it actually makes them taller than 12 inches which is a better deal than buying two shorter 1 foot beds. Just keep in mind you won’t have enough rubber edging for both. Assembly isn’t difficult, but it does take some time because of the number of pieces and bolts. The instructions could be clearer, but look at the pictures online and count the bolts. Even with those minor complaints, I’d still give it five stars. It’s one of my favorite raised beds, and that says a lot considering I’ve purchased more than 20 different raised beds over the years. This one is worth the money and will last for years.

Good, not great.
I’ve bought 6 of these beds. There are a lot of things to like and dislike about these. First, the good: they are well made. The steel is durable, the coating is done well, and the colors are great. They will last a long time with minimal care. Assembly will take some time, but it overall is easy, but tedious. The bad: the holes are a little too big for the bolts/nuts. They should be rounded, not oval. The fit is not as good as it should be. Some bolts look like they are loose and will not hold as well as they can. The panels are also only 1 foot tall each, so you have to stack them to reach the 2 foot height. The problem lies in putting multiple panels together and making sure everything lines up evenly. At this height, they would be better as 1 (2 foot panel) instead of 2 (1 foot panels). That would make assembly easier, and ensure a better look with less effort. These seem better suited to make 2 - 1 Foot tall beds, instead of stacking them.

Good
I bought these last summer and they are nice. Putting them together is not hard (but I was slightly aggravated until I had enough screws in place to hold it together). Once in place in the garden, I filled it with logs, dried leaves, cardboard, sticks, and then soil. I did not find the metal to be too hot in the summer. New plants are already in place for this year's harvest.

Worth the investment!
Absolutely gorgeous! I love the color and they’ve held up well in this crazy Oklahoma weather. Been through several tornadoes, hail storms, and high winds. Still look as good as the day I got them! I will say, please get a friend to help you build them. It’s a LOT of bolts and awkwardly balancing pieces if you’re doing it yourself (although I would do it again because it added a much needed facelift to my front yard)

I like it but you'll want help putting it together

I have mixed feelings about this. It DOES look good and will do the job. However, I recommend that you have help putting it together. Doing it solo was very difficult. This could have been made easier if the washers & nuts were one piece. It gets very tricky getting the bolt in, keeping it in place to add the washer, and then still keeping it in place getting the nut on. There WILL be cussing. Thank Gawd there were extra washers, as some of them were defective and/or the wrong size. Also, the instructions do not show you the different configurations. I probably could have figured it out, but that would have resulted in waaaaaay to much additional cussing, and the neighbors don't like that. All that being said, it looks nice, will get the job done, and I think I'll love it once my tomatoes start coming in.
