I dreaded removing my old mop head and putting this new one on, but afterwards I wondered why I had, since it was so easy to do! Quite wonderfully, I've had my Rubbermaid Ratchet Handle Twist Mop for many years now, the only one to survive so long. I had tried many different types of mops, since I'm disabled, I needed one that I could easily handle, as well as easily swish in a mop bucket and then remove the excess water. In all this time that I've had this same Twist Mop, I've had the same mop head, but yet it hasn't gotten funky, and when the scrubber end finally wore out, then some of the stitching came loose when I caught it on something, and a strand of the microfiber yarn fiber was no longer doubled into a loop and thus was too long and getting into trouble. I decided it was time for a one, and since the handle still works perfectly well and in fact is in great shape, and the refill is only $5.97 Add On (Minimum order for Prime Members $25, and non-Prime is $35) I was sold. I mean think about it, people walk (well not me, I move about in my motorized wheelchair) all over the place outdoors and elsewhere, then on the bottom of their shoes they bring a lot of where they have been into your house; do you really want to put your hands anywhere near that? So happy I don't; I love the fact that my hands don't need to touch anywhere but the handle. The refill seems to have the same quality of the original mop head, and as I said really easy to replace. There is what they call a C-Clamp hidden under the yarn, and I gently lifted one side and slid it off. The next step was my most challenging, there is zip tie that holds the top of the mop head onto the twist mechanism, which they call the "ratchet handle", so I had to manage to slip a pair of scissors under it and then cut, a bit of a challenge to do without cutting myself, or anything else, but I'm sure it's an easy step for most other people. Then I slid the new one onto the twist mechanism; the zip tie is already attached to the mop head, so that after you slide if over the mechanism, just pull it tight. I was surprised to see these for $5 a piece so I ordered two of them. They are a little different than the original one that came with my mop, I’ve had this mop for around 4 years or more And this is the first time that I have replaced the mop head. The mop head I ordered from Amazon seems like it is made from a different fabric than the original, maybe more absorbent. It also has a zip tie on the top so you can fasten it, which I thought was kind of weird because the original did not come with that. I’ve never had any problems with the original so I was a little surprised to see the zip tie. Not sure how easy that will come off when it is time to wash it. I was very happy with the original mop head but I have not used this new one yet so I cannot say if it is better or worse. I will update my review once I have used it

Can't beat this thing. I This is my second or third one over the last 5+ years or so. They are rugged, work great, only thing is the handle eventually rots /rusts out by the mop head and falls off. Not a problem for us as I always have a spar eon back up. Metal and water = rust. It happens eventually.

Well this is sorta complicated, but I'll first state what I wanted, and then I'll state the quality of the mop. So first of all, I wanted this mop specifically because it was black in the picture. I believe in all of Amazon (of the many pages I had to look through) there are only 2 mops that are black in Amazon. However, this mop showed to be bigger, so I bought this Rubbermaid mop. You ask, "why on earth do they need a black mop?" Well you see, I plan on using this mop to create a costume, which required a black mop. HOWEVER, I received a grey mop, which I could have gotten on Amazon for a cheaper price. The mop I got is the same model number and all, but was the wrong color. So IF YOU WANT A BLACK MOP, YOU'RE PROBABLY NOT GETTING ONE. Now for the quality of the mop.... Quality of the mop is great! It's sturdy, the mop strands are soft and seem absorbent. There is a tab for you to have the mop strands stretched out for easy storage and faster drying and it's easy to replace/take off the mop head. The foam handle that's midway of the mop is soft yet firm, so it's easy for gripping. I have not used this for cleaning (see above paragraph), but I'm sure there are/will be other reviews about it's cleaning quality.

this is the best mop i've ever used in my entire life. i have used many other mops, ones that don't have a wringing mechanism and ones that do. for the budget price, this is by far the best bang for your buck. the quality of the mop head is very good, it absorbs lots of water without dripping and when you do actually mop, floors tend to dry very quickly. it also drives extremely fast! the wringing mechanism is also very easy to use, not requiring lots of strength to wring the mop, unlike other mops with similar wringing mechanisms. all in all, it's a great product and i highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good, quality mop at a decent price range. very happy with my mop!
