First let me say that the product itself is excellent hence the rating. It even comes with a few small tools to make the repair less miserable for those with 10 thumbs. However, if you do have 10 thumbs and the only tools you own were bought from the grocery store, then just STOP NOW. Cricut is the real culprit for a poor design, built by poor engineers. Disassembly of the case is difficult, and requires multiple versions of close quarter screwdrivers, Philips and Torx, preferably magnetized. Need a flashlight also. Need small magnetic mini pliers to put the cir-clips back on the roller. There are multiple tedious steps, and delicate parts that have to be removed and then replaced again. All to get that stupid rod out of the machine just to replace two rubber rollers worth $2. Btw, the rubbers install better with starter fluid as a lube, which evaporates quickly, leaves no residue, and cleans the rubber so it will grab. Blame CRICUT manufacturing, for not offering a recall. Personally I give 8 to 1 odds of failing to complete this repair. If you do succeed, congratulations, one less Cri-Cut in the landfill.

I watched the video that came with the instructions and boy was this a wayyyyyy bigger job than I anticipated. It is not easy and you need to watch the steps in the video several times to understand them. There’s absolutely no talking it explanation in the video so your kind of left guessing. Overalll once I got the new rollers on they worked perfectly but don’t expect this to be an easy job. Take your time and rewatch if you missed stuff. Make sure you have something to put the screws in so you don’t loose any.

I used this set to change the rubber for my Cricut machine it was challenging but it works perfectly at the end and u got all u need with your purchase.

Look, it’s not a simple job to disassemble the machine and replace the rollers, but this kit has all you need to do it. The new rollers feel very firm and the retaining clips solve what I’d consider to be a design flaw with the original rubber rollers. Can’t recommend this enough.
