The chicken is durable for my non-aggressive chewer. I have a 4 lb yorkie and the small was a good size. The small size doesn’t flop as much as I hoped but my yorkie doesn’t seem to mind. She loves this toy and it’s her favorite toy to pick up when I am not playing with her. It does have a strong rubber smell when taken out of the bag but it aired out in a day. I would recommend this toy for non aggressive chewers Update: 03/17/2021 my neighbors dog has created a tear in the chicken. I often take the chicken onto my dogs play date as it is a hit with the owners and the dogs, everyone finds it hilarious seeing the dogs chase each other with a chicken in their mouths. The media could not be loaded. My dog is super high energy and loves his chicken (as well as other products from this manufacturer). The legs are super sturdy and put up with him gnawing it all the time, me pulling it while he holds on, and fetching. See the video as an example. Highly recommend.
