These offer a manual focus ring with 8x digital zoom but no optical zoom. The control buttons light up blue which is extremely helpful when using it at night (um, when else would you be using them...?). The image on the 3.2" display is good but I wouldn't say great. Image capture resolution options go from 4MP to (in my opinion) a ridiculous 40MP. User guide is extensive and easy to read, with lots of useful information. Other features include a built-in IR light (of course), visible light flashlight and a manual focus ring and an impressive IP65 water rating (multi-directional low-pressure water). Has a nice case and padded neck strap.

Look like binoculars but they are not. These are for seeing in the dark and they do it well! These are my first foray into Night Vision Goggles so I have nothing to compare with but for the price, I think they are great. First impressions are important for me and they came packaged in a very high quality box which will be tempting to hang on to. A great start. Inside the box, a very nice quality case and a separate quality strap for transporting the case and its contents. And you will not be disappointed with the goggles themselves. They are lightweight yet not at all poor quality. Lightweight means that you can hold them for an extended period which is great. The unit is rechargeable with an included USB C cable and while charging there is supposedly a red light to be seen next to the cable socket. If I have one minor gripe, it is that the red light is very faint almost straining to appear in a slight gap in the housing. Alternatively a tap of the power switch during charging will show an animated battery symbol being charged in the viewfinder which stops moving and shows full when complete. Accessories consist of a nice small felt bag containing the charging cable and a lens cleaning cloth. Operation is straightforward. There is a button for the menu in which you can set all manner of features consistent with a typical camera. Navigation and setting values are intuitive. It has an optional flashlight which is quite bright and which strobes using a different button. The night vision has 3 IR settings and it really is a magical experience if you’ve never had experience with this technology . I had the same experience as one other reviewer in that, when seeing a clear picture on the screen in pitch darkness, I had to take a peek to see if a light was being beamed forward somehow. But no, nothing visible and yet a clear B/W picture on the screen!! Tap the IR button to select from 3 levels of intensity. Very cool! I can see several uses and I’m sure you might have your own in mind. One is as an additional security device where you can see whilst remaining unseen if no light source is directed on you. It will also be useful for watching critters in the dark without spooking them. Birds, squirrels whatever. It will also come in handy for anyone who needs to navigate in the dark in water or through brush or narrow trails. All in all a great functional quality gadget which will bring hours of use and much fun. I hope you find this helpful 👇
