We go camping a lot. We go any chance that we are able too. We leave our coolers, this being the second cooler, inside of our 5th wheel. We do so because we keep all of our drinks, and some of our food products, in the coolers. Plus, leaving our coolers inside keeps them cleaner, and they are even colder. This cooler has plenty of space, and is definitely a high quality cooler. I love the handles on each end. They are definitely very strong and easy to hold onto. I need to also add that the thickness of the walls are just perfect. We are able to carry our cooler, and yet it will contain all of our food and drink needs. We really like this cooler so much that we ordered a basket, and a separator to make it more conformed for our needs. It's my favorite ooler for sure. ... show more

Went car camping in up to 82*F temps. Froze two empty milk gallons and all precooked food in our deep freezer ahead of time. Drained water and topped up empty space with ice a few times during the trip. After 10 days, the gallon waters were still 75% frozen. Yes it's heavy, yes it's large (for what it carries, but that's what makes it work so well. Seriously considering replacing our small cooler with one of these as well. The RTIC cooler kept my ice frozen for 3 days (most likely would have lasted longer, had I not emptied the cooler). I now use this as my primary cooler when camping overnight or for a few days. It works great and is large enough to hold food and beverages. If fully loaded, the cooler is best moved with two people. However, its width does allow for one person to pick it up. ... show more

Much better than our previous cooler. If you use ice blocks and freeze majority of food, you can go about 4 days before needing to buy ice (we freeze water in half gallon juice jugs...block ice AND drinking water!). Also, about 2 days before use, we load it with freezer packs and close the lid. I avoid putting in anything that is not cold or frozen. Food doesn't begin to thaw until day 2 or 3 (usally a slow thaw), so plan your menu accordingly, ask me how I know...lol. Expensive, but worth it for an offgrid camp. ... show more

With only a couple of frozen gel packs in it this cooler kept refrigerated goods like milk and cold cuts cool for 2 days. The gel packs were still frozen when the cooler was opened after arriving at our destination. Very similar to a Yeti.
