I researched all the tests on Youtube and looked at all the brands. I was most impressed with Rtic, even more than Yeti. Let's be honest, these ice-chests are all about the same with the same technology or designs. They do the same stuff. Rtic seems like the best price for the same thing as YETI. Why pay more when you don't need to? I use the Rtic in the back of my truck when going hiking or camping, many times I'm in Yosemite for 2-5 days where the sun is hot. I have a tonneau cover on my tacoma truck so it protects even longer. I have drinks, food, etc. and it lasts for days. It keeps my ice cold. Nothing like drinking cold drinks. The few drawbacks with any of these bigger ice-chests is 1.) they are heavier in dry weight than a typical ice-chest (the technology to keep these drinks cold requires it). That's totally fine. I fill my ice-chest in the back of my truck with ice and drinks so I don't challenge my back. 2. The second thing is I wished they had a shelf design for food items. I know I can leave them protected from the ice and the bigger ice-chests are meant for parties and drinks, but it would be great option. For what it's worth, I'm still giving 5 stars, but hoping they develop an option for a removable shelf-slide in. ... show more

Love the cooler. Perfect size for our needs and very well made, no quality issues what so ever. The shipping box had some damage, but the cooler was perfectly fine inside. I plan on getting a couple of other sizes to make a set for us to replace some older coolers we've been using. I will be shopping for more RTIC products for sure. ... show more

This thing is awesome and keeps my beer ice cold on 90 degree days. I use a combo of block ice and crushed ice and the block lasts well over a week with periodic adding of crushed ice and beer re-stocking. Honestly considered buying the Yeti even though it was $110 more expensive. They pioneered the ultra-insulation concept and their products are near-perfect. I almost always prefer the original over the generic imitations. Then I started reading actual user reviews and comparisons. They actually aren't that much better than their imitations. Long story short, was still thinking of spending the extra money on a Yeti. Then the executive Liberal snowflakes at Yeti decided to involve their company in politics. They decided that because some maniac shot up some school somewhere that they would cease supporting the National Rifle Association. You know the NRA. The sole sane promoter of firearm safety and education? Yeah, those guys. That made my purchase of the best cooler I've ever owned so much more satisfying. This RTIC is beyond awesome. It is nearly a carbon-copy of the Yeti, holds ice longer, has a few design features that make it more usable and was much more affordable. I couldn't be more pleased. Keep tooting those Liberal horns, Yeti. I'm sure that the customers that want to keep their kale perfectly chilled for a week in the wild are more important to your business than hunters, fishermen and campers. I first got the cooler and it was great. I used it out work and it sat in the bed of my truck all day and never leaves. After a few hot days I noticed the ice wasn’t lasting long and the lid was warped. I contacted RTIC and they sent me everything I needed so I could ship it out that same day. It took three days for mine to get to them, one day for them to inspect it and then they sent it back with second day air. So I was without a cooler for a week. In the mean time I used my dads Yeti, which sure enough the lid warped too (light blue 65). When I got my new tan 65 I let it sit in the sun and sure enough it warped again. But I thought to put a towel on the lid and that did it. It dropped the outside cooler temp from 140 F to 115 F. Now I just leave a white towel bungeed to it on hot days and have no problem keeping ice for three days and ice water for 4-5 days. I read forums and was expecting their customer service To be subpar, but they were outstanding. When my dad went to return his yeti, it took at least two weeks to get his new one and even when he got it they messed up the label and put a street number that doesn’t exist on our street. I wasn't sure if everything was true I read about the cooler but I'm happy to say it is. Here in Texas we have been seeing temperature above 90 degrees to 104 degrees and I can tell you 20 lb ice is lasting 3 to 4 days no prob and water is still cold after 7 days so I'm very pleased with my cooler
