So, I bought these for my 8 year old boys to use at the ocean. Initially, they were fine, but by day two, they weren’t holding air because sand got into the valve. We were able to spray it out of one, but the second one would not extend to hold air. By day three, both valves came apart while trying to clean them. We ended up throwing them away. Also, both boys complained that the strap underneath was painful no matter how we adjusted them. For reference, one boy weighs 100lbs, and the second boy weighs 60. Brought this on a family trip to Mexico, we used it in pools and at the beach. My 5 year old is on the smaller side; the straps fit fine on her but the vest did come up around her face a bit when in the water. We bought this for an almost-five-year-old to take along on vacation. She can swim but she's not terrific and I was not letting her in an ocean without some sort of life vest! (Though we obviously planned to be very near her at all times - I suppose this thing could get caught on a branch or scrape on a rock and rip open!) This packed really well, folding down quite small. It was easy to blow up (super fast - one blow!) and was easy to adjust (both the amount of air and the straps). Bonus because she used a life vest from the cruise ship and another on one shore excursion that both rubbed under her arm and really bothered her - this cannot rub too many places because it doesn't touch too many places and all of it is fairly smooth. She loved it, I felt she was safe in the water. The color was awesome because she was super easy to spot, especially when surrounded by tons of other kids on the beach. The piece where you inflate it broke before we could even use it. Didn't find out it was broken until we were on our trip. Luckily, my daughter was able to use the life jacket on the boat worn around her waist and it worked well. I bought it a month or so before the trip and didn't even think about checking it. By the time we saw that it was broke, it was too late to return it. UPDATED. I was contacted within a day or so from the company and was offered a replacement. I received that within a week. Opened it and everything is how it should be. It works great. I would purchase it again with the life lesson of checking everything when it first arrives to make sure it works!! 😬 ... show more

I bought 4 of these (2 children and 2 adult) for our family to paddle board. We all know how to swim, but we just needed to be compliant when we go on the lake by our house. They work really well and did keep my 10 year old daughter (75 lbs) afloat when she fell off her board, however the children's size did not fit my son. He is 13 years old, 5'6" and 105 lbs. They were easy to inflate but kids have trouble. Bought 3 of these, 2 of them the valve leaked or wouldntbspring shut and I had to keep filling them and force them shut. On one of them a leak formed from a tear at the base of the stem where it connects to the vinyl fabric. Out of the 3 I did not have issues with 1 of them. They were only used 3 times before the tear happened. I will be requesting a refund soon do to poor quality. I could have spent 15 dollars more and got something nicer. ... show more
