It was time to ditch the beloved 3 in one push handle tricycle & upgrade my girl to a big girl bike for her 4th birthday: I went to Walmart & purchased a bike. And within a week we were replacing tire tubes, chains, poor quality training wheels, and crying lots of mom guilt tears before I ran to my Amazon app begging for forgiveness for choosing Walmart . I scrolled through hundreds of bikes, thousands of reviews, & researched enough to feel confident that royal baby was going to be great. It arrived two days later in a well packaged box & I was so pleased that it was already 95% assembled. I’m a single mom who was raised in a home where my dad did all assembly and I never learned. So its just me and YouTube doing the job & Y’all I’m not even gonna lie I can’t assemble shit without loosing hours of my life, kids loosing patience and me loosing all of my sanity. By the time we’re done it’s just not even fun anymore. Royal baby’s bike gave me a frustration free experience & within ten minutes I had the bike together, all of my sanity & a positive mood to watch my baby ride! I had zero complaints about the bicycle. The quality was visible, the bike is solid and it’s heavy weight didn’t restrict her being able to peddle like other reviews stated. 6 months later the bike experienced a minor issue with the handle on the seat & I emailed Royal baby requesting the replacement parts. In under thirty minutes and one single email my requests were more then resolved. They responded so apologetically, without hassle or questioning and zero hesitation they offered to replace the bike with a new bike of the same model or to choose a different model of my choice from their website free of charge. It arrived two days later and my girl happily is riding every day. I am so pleased with this whole experience that I tell the moms in Walmart bike isle to just go to Royal baby and save the hassle. This is our second royal baby bike. We bought one for our son and our daughter who needed a larger bike loved his so much so we got her a pink one. This bike is definite heavy duty compared to the charActer bikes they sell at Walmart. The frame and larger tires feel much more sturdy and expensive. I love that this is a pink bike with black wheels! I’ll never understand the white wheels. This bike while feels heavy duty and strong, is still easy to carry. We have a gravel driveway and live next to a trail and they ride on both fine. I like that the seat has a little something on the back to keep her on. My daughter loves the water bottle and holder. She thought that was the coolest feature. She can easily stop and pull out the bottle herself and even put it back into the slot while on the bike. That was just an added bonus for Me. My kids love their bikes so much, and they are so comfortable, they literally sit on them and watch tv in our tv room. And yes, they ride great on carpet as well. I’ll never buy another cheap character bike again. If your looking and reading reviews, order it, I promise you won’t be disappointed. Also, both times I ordered the bike, it arrived much quicker than the estimated delivery date. I bought two of these: The 16 inch pink bike for my daughter who will be turning 5 next week. I did not take her measurements, but she is a size 5/6 in tops and pants right now for size comparison. The bike is great with the training wheels, but it is too big for her to handle without them yet. If I had known what I know now, I would have bought her one size down to start off with. For now, she can ride this with the training wheels to get used to it and we will just keep her much smaller bike until she has made a full transition. The 18 inch blue bike for my 7 1/2 year old Son - Again, no measurements, but he is a size 7/8 for size comparison. This bike just fits with room to grow. Last fall, it would have been a bit too big for him. Sizing aside, here are my thoughts: This is a great bike! It is nice and sturdy and I love the look. (especially the fact that the pink is still girly looking but has BLACK tires, not the dang white tires that most little girls bikes have) We live on a farm, so no sidewalks. Just dirt, gravel and grass to ride on. These bikes ride just fine on the rough terrain. My kids love that the bikes came with a water bottle. The 16" bike has a firmer white seat with what sort of looks like a hand grip in the back. The 18" bike has a slightly cushier black seat - like a normal bike seat. Neither of the kids have mentioned that they especially love or dislike their seats. Both bikes have brake, which is nice - although my daughter is still getting used to using it - it's a little big for her tiny hands. I would recommend getting the hang of that before going down any hills And last - the assembly was pretty easy - They came mostly assembled already. It took about 15 minutes per bike (Putzing speed) to get everything ready to go. One bike came with the tires ready to go and one bike needed to have the tires inflated before riding. Easy to assemble. Bike appears to be sturdy (especially for a 4 yr old). I'm going to like the handle behind the seat when I take off the training wheels and we work on riding w/ just 2 wheels. I would recommend this product.

I was thinking of spending more and getting her something name brand. Trek or Schwinn, I was so glad I didn’t pony up the extra dough. The bike went together super easy. 1 adjustable wrench did it. It’s solid, much more solid than her previous Frozen themed bike. She was ready for an upgraded wheel size. Bigger wheels help her glide and balance easier. This bike was actually my second choice, due to the pandemic bikes have become hard to get. However I am not disappointed at all in this choice as her first big girl bike. This is a very sturdy well built bike and it was a breeze to put together with the tools included. I got the 16" for my fairly big 4yo daughter and with the seat all the way down she can reach her tip toes to the ground. This is great because I feel she can use this bike for a couple of years and I am sure it will hold up as well. She also drinks like a fish and loved the water bottle and holder attached to the back. What made it all worth it was the giant hug I got and told "You're the best Daddy ever", I try. And you and your child will love this bike as well. ... show more

I thought it would be a little bigger and my daughter said that the seat is too hard so that’s extra money for a seat cushion. Other than that, it’s nice. She likes it that’s what matters.

Great value, sturdy with room to grow. Love that it has training wheels and a kickstand for later, brakes on the handle bars and pedals, this is a must for kids just learning how to pedal.

My kid is almost 8 years old, 46 inches tall, just learnt biking with 2 wheels in a 12 inch bike. This new 16 inch bike fits her well. We ordered a 14 inch bike, that one had problem with the steering system and I returened it. It is easy to return. This bike is easy to install. My husband put it together in half hour. My daughter loves the bike and I love it too because of that. Be aware though, it is a BMX bike, so it is shorter (in length) than other normal 16" bikes. I was a bit surprised by it after assembling it, but it isn't a fault of the product. Assembly is simple and the package comes with all the tools you need. My daughter is learning how to ride without the training wheels, so I didn't put the training wheels on. There is a small handle at the back of the seat, so it is a perfect place for me to grab on to the bike while my daughter is learning to find the balance. ... show more
