I read the reviews and and after buying a 16" boys bike found the negative comments do not apply. All of the good reviews really do apply. First and foremost, he loves it! We can't get my 4 year old off the bike. I mean 5-6 hours a day every day for 2 weeks. Forget his IPAD, he wants to be outside. The bike is very sturdy, the colors are a high quality metallic type, the tires are wider and help stabilize, the seat has a handle for an adult that will help you balance him when the training wheels come off, the training wheels are HEAVY solid steel, the strongest that I have seen and the training wheels adjust up and down instead of the frames themselves which allows for great adjustment as the wheel notches on the frames adjust easily. The bike came almost completely assembled for quick and accurate assembly. It includes instructions and a separate sheet responding to frequently asked questions. I had a question about the seat itself and emailed Tony and Vicky at Royalbaby. What great customer service. A response the next day and answered any additional questions. Also, one of my son's (and our) favorite accessories is the water bottle. I didn't think much about it at first but he uses it ALL of the time which keeps him hydrated. Also, now all of the kids in the neighborhood want water bottles on their bikes. If you want a truly great product, great service and a happy son or daughter this is the bike for you. One thing is that he may later (as he reads better) want the "baby" removed from the chain guard sticker. This bike was a gift for my 3 year old granddaughter, who is 39.5 inches tall. Her height fell between the 12" and 14" bike. RoyalBaby recommended sizing down and I'm glad we did. It was easy to put together and is very well made. Once it was put together, she hopped on, and off she went. It is easy for her to pedal, even up hills, easy to steer and most importantly, the brakes work really well. As soon as she pedals backward, the bike comes to a complete stop. There is also a hand brake, that works well too. I will teach her how to use that, in time. I researched a lot of bikes and am so happy I settled on this one. She chose the bright green color, which is just as pictured. I can not think of one con and feel confident this bike will hold up well. It is adorable with the bell and water bottle.     • Great first bike for the next step up from a balance bike.

This was the next step up for my 3 yr old from his balance bike. Didn’t need the training wheels because he could already balance and the pedals came pretty natural. Tires are great for the street but don’t have great traction on gravel. We might get some different tires down the road. The bike feels heavier than my grown adult bike but maybe that’s better for safety. The water bottle holder over the tire is kind of odd because it ends up bouncing up and down and rubbing against the tire when we ride. Other than the above it is an excellent bike for the price and I expect it to last until we are ready to move up a size. Kinda wish I didn’t say “Royal Baby” everywhere, because that is super lame for my little shredder but luckily he can’t read yet. ... show more

Pro: - Very easy to assemble - Only had to put together the fork, seat and ringer - comes with everything required. Had some air in the tires but inflated and worked very well. - the kickstand is very useful, but I wasn't used with it in the back of the back wheel but rather next the pedals - this wasn't a problem since our 6yr old had no issue with - Materials seem to be of very high quality - perfect for a 6 yr old - our boy is shorter than average and so this will allow him to use it for the next 2-3 years since on the lowest level of the seat he touches the ground with his toes. Cons: the bottle holder is useless if the seat is all the way down or even a couple of inches above lowest level. You can't use it since there's no room to slide the bottle in. But for us this wasn't enough to take a star out. ... show more

Such a cute bike. I got it for the 2yr olds birthday. He said "wow wow wow" and hugged it after it was assembled. It feels very solid and sturdy. Love the wide wheels for better stability. It looks great and feels like great quality. Assembly was no problem. The bell is loud! Very happy with the purchase and so is the little guy! The seat goes low enough and handle bars can can adjusted down for his small size. He is just a tiny munchkin so I was afraid it would be much too big, but the adjustments accommodate him. ... show more
