Description

Why we recommend kids to develop cycling skills Riding a bicycle offers numerous advantages for children's physical, mental, and social development. - Physically, it strengthens muscles, improves coordination, and boosts cardiovascular health, laying a foundation for an active lifestyle. - Mentally, cycling fosters independence and confidence as children learn to navigate their environment, solve problems, and overcome challenges. It also serves as a joyful outlet for stress relief and creativity. - Socially, biking with friends or family encourages teamwork, communication, and shared adventures. Additionally, cycling promotes environmental awareness by introducing eco-friendly habits early on. Whether exploring neighborhoods or enjoying outdoor play, this simple activity nurtures resilience, curiosity, and a lifelong love for movement! Some activities that kids can participate in with bikes - Neighborhood Errands: Short trips to local parks, friends' houses, or nearby stores (with adult supervision). - Backyard Fun: Practicing skills like balancing, turning, or stopping in a safe home environment. - Park Adventures: Exploring trails, playgrounds, or open fields in urban or suburban parks. - Family Bike Trips/ Outings: Joining parents on bike rides for grocery shopping or café visits in bike-friendly areas, or weekend rides to beaches, forests, or campgrounds. - Bike Trails: Riding on dedicated cycling paths, nature trails, or boardwalks. - Group Rides: Participating in community "bike parades" or holiday-themed rides (e.g., Halloween costume rides). - Sports Preparation: Building stamina and reflexes for future sports like BMX, mountain biking, or cycling competitions. Safety Notes: Always ensure helmets, knee/elbow pads, and visibility gear (lights/reflectors) are used. Supervise young children and tailor bike size/type to their age and skill level (e.g., balance bikes for toddlers, geared bikes for teens). By covering these scenarios, bicycles become tools for fun, growth, and connection!

  • Great bike!
Color: Pink Size: 16 Inch
I bought two of these: The 16 inch pink bike for my daughter who will be turning 5 next week. I did not take her measurements, but she is a size 5/6 in tops and pants right now for size comparison. The bike is great with the training wheels, but it is too big for her to handle without them yet. If I had known what I know now, I would have bought her one size down to start off with. For now, she can ride this with the training wheels to get used to it and we will just keep her much smaller bike until she has made a full transition. The 18 inch blue bike for my 7 1/2 year old Son - Again, no measurements, but he is a size 7/8 for size comparison. This bike just fits with room to grow. Last fall, it would have been a bit too big for him. Sizing aside, here are my thoughts: This is a great bike! It is nice and sturdy and I love the look. (especially the fact that the pink is still girly looking but has BLACK tires, not the dang white tires that most little girls bikes have) We live on a farm, so no sidewalks. Just dirt, gravel and grass to ride on. These bikes ride just fine on the rough terrain. My kids love that the bikes came with a water bottle. The 16" bike has a firmer white seat with what sort of looks like a hand grip in the back. The 18" bike has a slightly cushier black seat - like a normal bike seat. Neither of the kids have mentioned that they especially love or dislike their seats. Both bikes have brake, which is nice - although my daughter is still getting used to using it - it's a little big for her tiny hands. I would recommend getting the hang of that before going down any hills And last - the assembly was pretty easy - They came mostly assembled already. It took about 15 minutes per bike (Putzing speed) to get everything ready to go. One bike came with the tires ready to go and one bike needed to have the tires inflated before riding. Overall, these have been great bikes so far and I am very pleased with the purchase! ... show more

  • GREAT Bike but needs a little something
Color: Satin White Size: 16 Inch
These are GREAT bikes, hands down one of my best Amazon buys. That being said, there's assembly issues you need to know. On the positive side (which imo far outweighs the negative) these are just well made bikes. We bought one each for our 5yo twins. The bikes were on the brink of being too big, but I figured worse case scenario, we'd garage them for a few months. No need. Having only trike experience prior, both my kids got on and went. They're super sturdy, with minimal wobbles on a good surface and definitely inspire confidence. They look sharp, and really are just perfect for the beginner rider. My kids also think the water bottle is the coolest thing since toast, so I'd recommend leaving that at home unless you're in for a "water break" every 2-3 minutes. The downer, which I read about in previous reviews as well, is that things that need to be tight, need to be TIGHT on assembly, and then some. When we put our two together (easy assembly, took 5 min tops), my husband did one and I did the other. While I'm generally pretty handy, we found that the one I put together kept losing a peddle. Like it would spin off mid ride. Husband hulk-style tightened it, issue resolved. The handlebars did the same, and still need some adjusting occasionally. The worst is that the training wheels WILL loosen up. It's just going to happen. We had one kid blow out down the bike path at 100 ft/hr (he was really ripping for a Pre-K kid), only to turn it into a full out bronc ride when left his training wheel in the dust, got the speed wobbles, then finally ate dirt when his bike dropped it's shoulder and ducked right. I was a proud cowboy mom, he was a sad, bloodied biker kid. Had to carry him home. So my word of advice for those of you who either don't like to see their kids upset or just don't like to carry around dead crying weight, is to invest in a spool of thread seal tape, wrap up your peddles and training wheel threads, and tighten them until you or it almost breaks. Happy riding. ... show more

  • Quality bike, phenomenal customer service. Completely blown away by the kindness
Color: Pink Size: 16 Inch
It was time to ditch the beloved 3 in one push handle tricycle & upgrade my girl to a big girl bike for her 4th birthday: I went to Walmart & purchased a bike. And within a week we were replacing tire tubes, chains, poor quality training wheels, and crying lots of mom guilt tears before I ran to my Amazon app begging for forgiveness for choosing Walmart . I scrolled through hundreds of bikes, thousands of reviews, & researched enough to feel confident that royal baby was going to be great. It arrived two days later in a well packaged box & I was so pleased that it was already 95% assembled. I’m a single mom who was raised in a home where my dad did all assembly and I never learned. So its just me and YouTube doing the job & Y’all I’m not even gonna lie I can’t assemble shit without loosing hours of my life, kids loosing patience and me loosing all of my sanity. By the time we’re done it’s just not even fun anymore. Royal baby’s bike gave me a frustration free experience & within ten minutes I had the bike together, all of my sanity & a positive mood to watch my baby ride! I had zero complaints about the bicycle. The quality was visible, the bike is solid and it’s heavy weight didn’t restrict her being able to peddle like other reviews stated. 6 months later the bike experienced a minor issue with the handle on the seat & I emailed Royal baby requesting the replacement parts. In under thirty minutes and one single email my requests were more then resolved. They responded so apologetically, without hassle or questioning and zero hesitation they offered to replace the bike with a new bike of the same model or to choose a different model of my choice from their website free of charge. It arrived two days later and my girl happily is riding every day. I am so pleased with this whole experience that I tell the moms in Walmart bike isle to just go to Royal baby and save the hassle. If you’re on the fence just give it a chance you’ll be so pleased! ... show more

  • Very, very good. Minor issues.
Color: Pink Size: 16 Inch
Superb bike. Just a little pricey, heavy, and the bike seat post is a little short. But the post is a cheap easy fix. I'd buy it again.

  • Solid/Sturdy Bike for a 3yr Old!
Color: Red Size: 16 Inch
We got this for our 3 yr old son for his 3rd Birthday (late January). He's brand new to bicycle's and only has experience with a 3 wheeled scooter and tricycle. Here's our initial feedback. I will come back to this review should my opinion change. Pro's: 1) Good instructions which made this easy to put together. 2) All parts and bolts were in the package upon receiving. 3) Our son LOVE's this bike as you can tell from the picture attached. 4) Great color & style. 5) Very sturdy bike (minus the con below) Con's: 1) As other's have mentioned, the training wheel bolts like to come loose. A simple fix for this is either plumbers tape, or thread locker. We tried both and both successfully kept the training wheel bolts from coming loose. Otherwise, we'd have to re-tighten them each and every time our son decided to ride it. Overall, I'd give this bike 4.5 starts (rounding up to 5 stars) The loose training wheel bolts aren't a big enough issue to drop this review down fully 1 star. A simple and cheap fix makes this a super sturdy bike for our 3 yr old. ... show more

  • Got the wrong size. Nice bike though.
Color: Satin White Size: 16 Inch
We ordered a "like new" 16" white bike through Amazon resale. The bike arrived in what appeared to be new condition with all of the parts present, but it was not the 16", but rather the 14" (it even says it right on metal part of the bike). Because we have a number of children, we decided to keep it anyway, but it was rather inconvenient how many issues we have had with ordering these bikes. For that reason, I eventually gave up on ordering the like new versions. As far as the bike itself, it is a nice quality bike. The wheels are wider than standard which helps with balance especially for newer riders. We preferred this option because it has the standard pedal brakes rather than the dual handle brakes. I would definitely recommend it, especially if you can get one that is actually new and has always all its parts. ... show more
