We've used Royal Canin for our show Collies for over 12 years. Anything else upsets their tummies. They prefer this over any newly introduced food, mainly because they're used to it. But since it's got about everything a strong field dog needs, we've stuck with it. The quality is superb. I don't have to worry about ingredients, although I'm sure there's other brands that claim a better blend - for a price. But for us, this is it. Notice the "brain food" and "coat food" ingredients - both of which I can attest to. Their coats are fabulous, and collies are collies. We supplement with vitamins also. ... show more

My 105 lb Bernese Mountain Dog has been on Royal Canin her whole life, starting with puppy version and now the 5+ Large Dog version. She’s healthy (exercise every day, outside on a farm, never a collar or leash) so it seems to be good value for money (no vet bills) and the flavor must be OK (I haven’t tried it). ... show more
