I'm obsessed with the berry scent! I'm always reluctant to purchase anything scented online, because you never know what it'll actually smell like, but I'm really happy I got this. I've recently discovered wood wick candles, and they're my new favorite. They seem to last longer than standard wicks, and the crackling sound is an added bonus ;-) Best part about this candle - I was able to very easily remove the stickers and remaining wax when it was done, and I now have a very pretty jar! This candle is on the pricey side but definitely worth it. Got it as a gift for my wife for Christmas and she's still burning it 6 months later, and it has a wonderful smell and very pretty glass votive.

Elegant and chic packaging and scent! The design is very upscale. The scent is a perfect blend of berries and other complementing notes (I don’t know what bergamot smells like alone). Upon unboxing, you can already smell the perfume from Berries and Bergamot. However, I also purchased Santal Himalayan. Compared to Berries, the throw was not as powerful. Not sure if it’s just the type of oil for this fragrance or not. Thinking it may be a defective candle, I reached out to the manufacturer who wanted to make it right. I’ll update the review once the replacement for Santal is received. Eventually, I want to purchase all the scents! I even bought a gift for someone that I want to open just to smell the candles! ... show more

The scent and packaging of this candle make it a wonderfully impressive gift at an affordable price. Maybe the best smelling candle I've owned. I don't get much of a cream scent, but it doesnt matter. The berry part of the name smells as though they managed to take every wonderful berry on Earth and refine it into a candle fragrance. And the throw (the ability of a candle to project its scent) is just as impressive as the scent. I've read some other reviews saying the candle didn't BURN EVENLY. I've purchased this candle at least 10 times and have never once had that issue. I read somewhere, the 1st time you burn a candle, to never extinguish before 4 hours burning, or until the entire top layer of wax is fully liquified. I've done that every time and have yet to have an issue. I really hope this helps. ... show more

Pros: -beautiful scent, both lively and comforting. The berries are nice and aromatic without smelling sweet -the glass jar is gorgeous and can easily be repurposed after use Cons: -as beautiful as there scent is on a cold sniff, my candle had next to no throw and I couldn't actually smell it unless I was a foot away actively sniffing -my candle tunneled as soon as I lit it So it smells and looks pretty but isn't very functional in terms of creating an aromatic space. I wouldn't buy it again, unfortunately. UPDATE: after my review, the sellers contacted me and tried to make things right. They sent a replacement candle of a different scent, and of course it was packaged securely. They've since been very communicative- A+ for customer service. The candle still tunnels, but the flame has improved (before it was merely simmering) and the scent has since grown stronger. It fills up my living room now after about a half an hour, so I probably would buy it again and use a candle lamp for any wax left due to tunneling. ... show more

Would love this fabulous scent scent to be offered in your 6oz classic candle holder with a regular wick!! It will be easier for one hand than this beautiful but huge vessel with the extra heavy lid, requiring two hands. Packaging is gorgeous, definitely great for gift giving. Bought three on sale, keeping them because so wonderful smelling, but in future I will pay attention to SIZE and WICK. Have never turned back since La Jolie Muse was recommended by a family member a few years ago. All were good except the strange blue glass round cropped pyramid shape last year, which burned lopsided and never the entire candle. And now this humongous one... ;-)) Will keep you posted as to how the entire candle burns! thank you UPDATE a month or so later: the crackling sound of the cedar wick is very annoying for me. I leave the candle in the bathroom so that I don't hear it in the rest of my small weekend house. Scent is still amazing, soft not overbearing yet pleasantly present. Missed the return date since it's not in daily use, so will continue to 'compromise' while I have candlepower for the foreseeable future, with two more when this one is burned out. Meanwhile I highly recommend the regular size La Jolie Muse candles, use them at city home and at the office bathroom. The empty containers made pretty pencil and candy holders ... show more

I love the Dark Berries and Bergamot candles. I did 2 experiments. The first experiment was I burned 2 brand new 9.9 oz candles for 3 hours to mix the fragrance. Then I used it with candle warmer lamps. This way you will get a much stronger scent and the candle will last you a long time. The 2nd experiment was without burning the candle just using the candle warmer lamps. Either way you will get plenty of scent in the room. If you only burn this candle the scent is very mild if you stand right next to the candle. The crackling sound is very mild. With using warmer lamps the entire kitchen smells heavenly. The warmer lamps make a huge difference. The air is clean when you use candle warmers and the candles last much longer. I bought several 9.9oz candles and one 19.9 oz. all with Berries and Bergamot (my favorite) and I will buy more. Using these candles with my candle warmers for over two weeks - the candle containers are still full. I highly recommend these methods if you want more scent out of these candles.
