This was a Total waste of time and money! I never write reviews much less bad ones but this is the worst thing I’ve ever purchased from Amazon! Directions weren’t even in English and YouTube was very little help! Save your money!!

    • Very difficult to program
This is the second one of these registers we have purchased, mainly because of availability and price. They are very difficult to program with tax rates. A call to support resulted in no good results and a promise of a return phone call. We finally got it programmed by watching a YouTube video and using a manual from another Royal register. In addition, this register came already programmed (which we had to de-program) and with batteries installed. ... show more

We bought as a replacement for another Royal that stopped working, like the one before that, that stopped working. The only reason we bought another was because it was so close to the previous register that we all knew how to work it. Step one, throw out the manual. Step two, go to YouTube and learn how to use it. I couldn't find this model, but the video tutorials of the previous models applied to this register. Does not hold programming when unplugged. There is no mention of this in the description. Instructions for programming tax table are a jumble of meaningless instructions. I guess it's a low quality item for a low price.
