It gets hot fast. It has good burst of steam and spray. It is heavy so it irons better without me having to push down hard. It's attractive looking. No leaks upon first use. The steel plate is smoothe and glides over fabric nicely Too early to tell how it will perform in the long run. What I didn't like, was that they sent in in the on position, the hottest setting too. Stupid me, i didnt check it because no one leaves an iron on. So I got it out of the box, plugged it in and began to fill the water reservoir. I grabbed the iron to tilt it into position and burned my fingers badly. Who would've thought? I haven't used it enough yet to observe the auto shut off.

Lots of features. Button placement for spray makes for inadvertent use. It takes a minute to get the hang of it, but once you're on board, it's a good iron with handy features. Great for steam. Sharp tip makes ironing hard spots easier. One knock: I wish the cord was about 6 in. longer. It's OK, but it could be better.

Reason I went w/Rowenta again is because my old Rowenta lasted me almost 17 years! Although it still worked, it took forever to heat up. This new Rowenta is great. Heats up in no time! I love the color. Some say it's hard to see water level but i just fill it as normal and dump it after use (leaving water in makes iron lasts less time). This Rowenta only lacks one thing that i liked about my old one ….it does not have the rubber stops on the bottom for when you sit the iron it makes it more stable. First couple of times i used it, it did drip a bit of water but now it's good to go. Buy it for $50...it's worth it!

I’ve been a loyal Rowenta customer for over a decade, which is why this purchase was so disappointing. This new iron looks and feels nothing like the genuine Rowenta quality I’m used to. The build is lighter, the plastic feels thin, and the soleplate doesn’t glide smoothly — it’s as if this was made by a completely different company. Within a few uses, I noticed it leaking water from the tank and steam vents, even when set up correctly. The leaks got bad enough that it left water spots on clothing and the ironing board, which has never happened with any Rowenta I’ve owned before. The steam output is weak and inconsistent, and it takes much longer to heat up than expected. The sad part? I still have my 12-year-old Rowenta iron, and it’s built like a tank — heavier, solid, perfectly balanced, and it still produces strong, even steam without a single leak. That old model (the Rowenta Focus DW5080) puts this “new” one to shame. The new iron honestly looks and performs like a cheap knock-off, not a real Rowenta. If you’ve owned a genuine Rowenta in the past, you’ll immediately notice the downgrade in materials, design, and performance. I don’t know if Rowenta changed factories or if this is a counterfeit batch, but something’s not right here. Bottom line: save your money. My 12-year-old Rowenta still looks and works far better than this “new” one ever will.

The media could not be loaded. The precision tip is lovely. Very easy to handle. But has a few design flaws. The iron has to be flat before water can be put in. The door to the water tank is very flimsy and breaks off easily. The tank is not clear making it very difficult to see how much water is in it. Water drips out onto fabric while ironing even when the tank appears to be empty. The stainless steel plate does not glide easily over fabrics that have been sprayed with starch.

Never thought I'd enjoy ironing. Then I bought this Rowenta. It's not exactly lightweight but then neither is its performance. The powerful steam and the weight of the iron laughs at the toughest wrinkles. Once is enough - you don't need to keep going over the same spots. Immaculate trouser creases. Tough wrinkles in linen shirts softened and straightened. In one word: Fabulous.
