Features

  • Full &Professional Tone: The meticulously designed metal mouthpiece retains the rich, deep bass of the tenor range, enhances high-frequency overtones, and is bright yet not harsh, making it suitable for traditional jazz, rock, pop, and other styles, allowing for more expressive playing
  • 5-Level Adjustable Ligature : 5-level adjustable Ligature system allows you to precisely adjust the reed's vibration feedback, much like tuning a tuner. From relaxed and free to tight and sensitive, a single button switch perfectly matches your reed stiffness, personal playing habits, and musical style requirements
  • Comfortable to Play: The unique design effectively streamlines airflow and reduces turbulence. This ensures a more stable and efficient airflow during playing, helping you maintain excellent control even during long performances or rapid phrase changes
  • Premium Materials: Precision-made with high-quality metal, the metal material provides faster response and clearer tone, ideal for players seeking enhanced sound quality
  • Cap Protection: The reed replacement cap is secured to the mouthpiece with a reed clamp. When not in use, the cap tightly wraps around the mouthpiece, preventing bumps and scratches, making it easy to carry and store, allowing for easier playing and practice

  • Poor Man's Theo Wanne
I put this on my tenor and BAM, right away I knew this was a good piece, competitive with the great ones out there. Pretty obvious that this is a Theo Wanne inspired, (but not exactly copied) mouthpiece. I have 2 Theo Essential metal pieces, and this one could very easily be considered a third one in that category. The sound and feel are very similar. This is actually a #8 tip opening on the Link scale, slightly larger than My 2 Theos, which are both #7* The Theos are quite a bit heavier, much more metal on them. But all three are very similar in feel when you play them. All three are quite bright, and all three have a good core to balance the brightness. My Link is heavier, as well, but not as heavy as the Theos. The Link is my go to piece right now- I refaced it myself, it's now a #7, and I put a hard clay baffle in it, to brighten it up, as I play in a fairly loud rock/soul/Motown band, and need some spunk to compete with drums, bass, keys, and guitars on stage. This Rowell piece might work, as well, right out of the box, I'll have to see. But either way, it's a keeper! Buyers should be aware that you will need to get a special cap, large enough to fit over the yoke of the ligature, but I have found the many hard rubber tenor mouthpiece caps will work. Also, buyers should know that this mouthpiece is a bright sounding, contemporary style piece. It will not foo foo, it is made to deliver. But if that's what you are looking for, you will not be disappointed. Great value here, price vs pro quality craftsmanship and sound. ... show more
