This is just an initial review of the size and weight. I’ll update after using it. It is pretty heavy, about 50 lbs. it’s very sturdy. The box was HUGE. The description shows the slicer’s dimensions but it didn’t occur to me that it would be this big and take up so much space. The weight is a plus from what I’ve read though. Some brands were too small and light. This one has a large blade which is what seemed best. Just be aware of the space you’ll put it in. Make sure there is enough clearance over the slicer too. See photos for what I mean. To use it I’ll have to pull it closer to the counter edge so the meat gripper handle has enough clearance to go up. I probably won’t use it for a few days. But I promise a review of how it works once I have a chance to put it to work. Updated: I finally used the slicer and it works great! I made a roast beef last night and let it chill in the fridge overnight. This is so much better than the deli meat I get at our local grocery store. I watched a few YouTube videos on how to clean a meat slicer and I don’t think I’ll have a problem with this (there was not a specific video for cleaning this one). Definitely need to buy some cut resistant gloves on Amazon before I take the blade off. ... show more

The slicer is not even close to 500W (it's 250W) and they have intentionally kept this inaccurate information on this listing despite my pointing this out several weeks ago. It was also incredibly difficult to return. They tried to get me to pay to return it!
