The media could not be loaded. We purchased this product about a year ago when our first child started crawling. I found these locks easy to install (the starter tape is a stroke of genius). I did follow the directions carefully and went slowly when installing the first one, but picked up speed once I got the hang of it and had 12 locks installed in under an hour. I love that they don't mess with the outer appearance of our cabinets and I didn't need any tools to install them- just a pencil. The adhesion and locks are strong (our toddler likes to pull HARD on the cabinets to try to get them opened, and they won't budge), but open really easily with the key. The ring key makes it possible to open the cabinet with one hand if you install the lock near the drawer/cabinet pull as recommended. My parents bought some for their house and really appreciate that they can turn the lock function "off" when grandkids are not present, which is as easy as the flip of a switch. We have been so satisfied with these locks that we recently ordered a few more to attach to the higher cabinets that our child can now reach! Keep in mind that they recently changed the polarity of the magnets on the ring keys (to be able to work with other brands), so if you're like me and have some of the older locks, the new keys will not work and vice versa. This is where I think their customer service is top-notch. When I received the package of the new locks, I noticed a sticker on the box indicating the polarity change as well as a customer service number for Roving Cove. After a nice conversation with Mark, he offered to send me a replacement package of locks with my choice of the old polarity to coordinate with my older locks, or the new polarity to help replace the older locks. As a consolation, I can keep the newer set of locks I already received! Now I have a matching set of older-style locks on the way and a nice set of new locks as a gift. In all, I highly recommend these locks to anyone needing a foolproof way to deter access to cabinets or drawers!

Okay, if you have a houdini child who loves solving locks, this is the one for you because it eliminates anything for them to figure out. Our son easily figured out other locks. So glad he's smart but not great for avoiding poisonous solutions in the kitchen. These are the BEST locks- easy to install, comes off without damaging our cabinets, aesthetically pleasing because the lock is hidden, LOVE that the magnet key has a hook for your fingers (it comes with two keys.) The magnet is strong, it WORKS!!! ANDDDD... it has an on and off switch for when baby is asleep or not at home so you can leave the cabinets on "open." Took 1-2 tries to get the hang of installing it perfectly but is so easy once you got it down.

It was such a surprise to me how well these locks work and how easy they are to install. I bought this product to lock a China Hutch while we had a house sitter stay at our home while we were gone. I had searched for a lock for the hutch, but nothing seemed to fit or work without drilling a large hole in the hutch to insert a lock. I decided to give these magnetic cabinet locks for babies a try. This company has thought of everything to make these locks super easy to install. They are quite strong and prevent the cabinet from being opened. I installed them in a place where you can't see them, so if someone tried to open the cabinet, they would not be able to and because they can't see them, they would not know that they are baby locks. I am amazed at how well the ring magnet works at locking the locks. I really love these and would definitely recommend this brand.

The typical child security stuff did not work with our little one, as soon as she started to walk, she was able to open child gate which became immediately useless. She would even lock it back behind her. When it came to kitchen cabinets, we knew the usual latches won't work with her (and they do not), so this magnetic system came to the rescue. Using this system is a little tedious since you have to have the magnet to open, but that is a choice we had to make. It works well if you know how to use it. And our (now two year old) has figured that out too. She will find the magnet and attempts to open it (still working at it, but she knows how it works). If you need a child lock that is a bit more challenging to your kids, this would be it. Just make sure you have the magnet safely and securely available.

Easy to install strong baby proofing cabinet locks. My one year old is quite strong and has broken a few of the stick on straps locks so I decided to upgrade to sturdier locks. It took me a while to order as the lethargy and inertia to install baby proofing products is quite strong. Once I bought these locks I opened the box and saw screws and my inertia started all over again because I’m sick of hardware and hauling tools for every small thing. To my surprise two weeks after receiving this product I mustered the patience to read through instructions and boy is this product easy and fool proof to install. I think marking a central position with a pencil is key. After that it’s aligning and sticking ...that’s all. The trial tape is a genius idea. What I loved was how easy it is to take this product off-dental floss. I’m yet to test the strength of the product as my one year old hasn’t tried to open the cabinets as yet but I’m sure that will be put to test soon.

Super easy to install. However we use the sticky strip first but by the next day they were coming off so we went back and use the screws which only took a few mins. Well worth the money. I have a pet raccoon that can break into anything and these make it impossible for her. I’ve used them a few days just to be sure before I write the review. Super easy to install and super easy to use the key to open. And I like that you can even tell they are there. If you need locks these are perfect buy them!
