I spent a lot of time reading mfr info and customer reviews -- 'cause that's the kind of exciting, on the edge guy I am. In the last few years it seems that overall product quality has gone way down. There have always been cheap, poor quality products, but at least in the past a buyer could spend more and get a good value ('bang for the buck'). Now it can be difficult to find good quality, durable products -- at any price. This toilet seat is the exception. Most seats I looked at have horrible 1/2-star reviews. The "overall" rating of an product is often misleading. Positive reviews can be fake, and the ones that seem legit are typically written when the buyer has little (if any) experience with the product. So I read the 1-star reviews first. I exclude the ones that are obviously N/A (operator error; box damaged; late; wrong color, etc.). Most of the seats had a significant number of legit sounding 1-star reviews -- seat cracked for no apparent reason (user well below max weight); mounting hardware fails to hold seat steady, etc. This toilet seat is clearly much better quality than most. It is very strong (400 lb. rating IIRC); the soft close and easy clean features work well. This seat is clearly worth the extra money. It's maybe double the price of the average poorly made seat, but OTOH, there are toilet seats that cost hundreds of dollars. ... show more

I can’t believe I’m writing a rave review about a toilet seat of all things but since it’s an essential item in your home it’s nice to have a great one! First, the color match is practically perfect for American Standard “biscuit” color bathroom fixtures. The manufacturer’s installation brochure is written clearly and has step-by-step pictures as well for all the details. The only thing you must have on hand is a Philips screwdriver for securing 2 screws. I recommend taking your time to fully understand the instructions before starting to install it because it’s a much different (and easier!) process than other slow-closing seats. I consider it a great success that I did this by myself in a very tight space & didn’t drop any parts in the toilet! I highly recommend this product and will order another one for our other bathroom when needed. ... show more

Quick TL;DR positive and negatives: + Solved a numb legs/buttocks issue! + SO EASY to clean + Slow close, just walk away as it lowers + Install was painless due to very adjustable hardware, took 5 mins + Twice as thick as our old seat, no bending upon sitting + No squeaks from the bumpers, no movement +/- Price, but this is a 'you get what you pay for' kinda deal Full review: I can't believe I'm writing an in-depth review of a toilet seat but I NEED people to know how good this seat is. It is twice the quality of our previous seat; looks 10x nicer in the restroom; and, most importantly for us, it instantly fixed a serious discomfort issue with our old seat. If you are experiencing numbness or your legs fall asleep during normal-length visits to your commode with your current seat, please consider this one! It may fix your issue. When my partner and I moved into our current place, the toilet seat proved immediately to be deeply uncomfortable! I had never before in my life had an issue with a toilet seat, but this seat sloped harshly inward towards the bowl, and as a result when you sat on it, it mostly made contact with your outer thighs while providing virtually no support elsewhere. It was like sitting on two thin, plastic rails. Anything more than a two minute visit caused my legs, groin, and butt to become completely numb and disturbingly chill to the touch. I think it was cutting off my blood-flow, yikes! My partner was having similar issues so we agreed to ditch it and find a replacement. It was pretty challenging to find information about a seat's 'flatness' online, and on Lowes and Home Depot it required going to the reviews to see if anyone else had complained of feeling like they were sitting on rails (also how we discovered we weren't alone). Bath Royale's website was one of the very few that specifically mentioned how flat the seat was for your derrière. This model, the Executive, had a 'low/flat' seat contour according to the site, and true to their word the seat had a much shallower curve upon arrival. After testing for several days, sure enough, the issue has been fixed! No more numbness for either of us. This seat is a normal, comfortable seat, and we couldn't be more grateful for it. Everything after this is an added bonus in our book. The quick release for easy cleaning is genius and takes about 2 seconds to do. The quick release's studs are metal so you don't need to worry about breaking plastic connections as the seat ages. Speaking of, the seat and lid's plastic is much sturdier and almost twice as thick as our ex-seat's plastic. It looks nicer and tidier than our old seat, especially since they include covers to obscure the mounting hardware with the bonus of keeping the hardware clean. The bumpers do not squeak and are generously sized. The mounting hardware is almost entirely metal and very sturdy; only the nuts on the underside of your toilet will be plastic (on purpose so that they flex as they wedge into the mounting holes). The seat is overall quite robust and hasn't budged since installation even with us tugging on it on purpose to see if it would loosen or wiggle. According to the booklet that came with the toilet, the slow close can be forced down without harming the mechanism, if you don't want that feature. Overall, this is really a slam-dunk toilet seat, I highly recommend it. ... show more

Ok this is an odd thing to review… however, this is the best toilet seat we have ever bought!!! So worth the money!! And we did buy the special attachment screws that enable top mount attachment even though we have a standard toilet… just plain simpler!!! Very sturdy, feels good to sit on, and the lid is also sturdy and strong for a seat!!! Love love this toilet seat!! 😂👍…so far no chemical has turned it color. Previously every seat we bought either was flimsy, couldn’t sit on lid, became stained by cleaners and would look gross!!! Never thought I’d live and totally recommend a toilet seat… but they hit the mark!!! Will buy again for other toilets!!! ... show more

Fits toilet perfectly! Prior two lids I purchased, that broke after 1 year didn't it my elongated throne properly... Leaving me to always touch outer sides of bowl. This hangs over just enough to have a lip to grab... And its adjustable with in a couple of centimeters. So happy to find this USA made product...happy to relieve my rear on it...
