  • If you’re reading this you Probly need this.
Easy install. Took maybe 45 min and most of that is holding the sway bar and stabilizer up to bolt them back in ( two people would help but one can do it). Definitely took out the slop out of the steering. It’s a better driving experience immediately. Heavy. Well built. Came with all the hardware. Watch a video or two online. Easy install and the improvement you get is well worth the money. Side note. You are essentially bolting the Pittman arm to the frame on both rails so you will “feel” the road a little more than before. If it bothers you then it’s Probly a sign you also need to replace the shocks. Overall good product and well worth the cost for what it does for you. ... show more

  • Amazing Difference
So I had a little play in the steering off center. Not much but enough to make you feel uneasy passing another car on a back country road. I did a lot of research and settled on the Rough Country brand. YouTube videos make install look fairly simple and videos are accurate, this is an easy install. Took about an hour to install taking my time. Do some reading on instructions and get the proper tools for the job before you start. Some of the tools needed are not standard size tools in everyone's tool kit (i.e. 19mm socket/wrench, 1-3/4 deep well socket). THe parts feel high quality and the main part has some mass and weight to it. After install I immediately noticed a difference in steering performance just back out of the drive way. Steering corrections are now off center and everything performs quite well. After this install and test drive I also added the Bilstein 33-170794 steering stabilizer, also an easy task and improves performance even more. *Side Note - Although great for the after market industry, if there is a problem with your product, DODGE, that requires these parts to correct an obvious design flaw, maybe DODGE should consider adding at build time. ... show more

  • Fix for a wandering truck
The reason i bought this was because after leveled and put on 35x12.50s my 2014 2500 constantley wandered and swayed on the road and any imperfection in the road would cause the steering wheel to jerk one way or the other. Im a welder by trade and have worked with metal for 15 years. I was blown away by the quality of the product this was. The tubing was heavy wall and the brackets were 3/16 possibly 1/4 i didnt measure. The welds looked very good and were not pigeon poop like you useally see on stuff like this. The actual bearing and pitman stub were very well made AND there is a grease fitting already imstalled WITH boot. The install is simple enough. Altho kind of a b@tch by yourself..there are videos online if you like videos instead of the paper directions which i will say were not bad...This is a heavy part... If you drop it on your face your gonna bleed. Id suggest a helper to hold either the sway bar or brace while you hold the other and put in bolts..if your working solo 2 jack stands or a jack..MAKE SURE YOU DONT CROSS THREAD THE FOUR 10MM BOLTS FOR THE STABILZER..this is easy to do if your working by yourself. This is well worth the price. ... show more

  • Substantial
This product is beefy, I did not expect it to be as large and as heavy as it was when I opened the box. Most of the reviews tout a simple installation, if I did it a second time I'd agree but the instructions don't do much to help you maneuver this into place -- it is however a good tricep workout. Laying on your back while trying to reach behind your head to pick this up as well as your sway-bar, hold them into position, and get at least one of the bolts started was a challenge for me. I found a tip on a forum to hold the stabilizer up (no sway-bar) with the front passenger-side bolt, then bring the sway-bar up and start the rear driver bolt through the sway-bar and stabilizer -- then slip the bolt out on the other side and finish the install. Done that way it's much easier. A few other documentation items: the pitman arm bolt is not the size stated in the docs, and good luck finding a deep enough socket to fit it unless you work on heavy equipment. A large crescent wrench did the trick, but I did waste money on a socket that I had no use for. Finally, there is conflicting advice as to whether or not to retain the lock washer. Looking at the picture in the instructions I don't see it, but I have read that it's required. I installed the whole thing with the lock washer only to find I lacked clearance, so I had to take it back down, remove the lock washer, and put it all back up. All that said, the difference is clear. It's much easier to keep your lane, and the steering is much tighter and more responsive. It's a much more substantial product than I thought I would be getting for the money, overall I'm happy with it. ... show more

  • Fit as advertised
I have a 2012 ram 2500. And this steering brace went on easy and fit perfect. It seems well made and seems like it really does make a difference.

  • Great deal, bolted right up.
Gotta love Amazon 2nd chance deals, got this for half price since the box was thrashed (box is in the trash now lol) . It arrived with all the parts and not scratched up, pretty much a brand new brace. Bolted right up, can be performed by one person if you take your time. On a 2015 3500 it took a large adjustable to do the job. Easily removed the steering nut and tightened the pivot with ease. Night and day difference on steering response and feel. Worked for me, your results may vary. ... show more
