Love it. Easy install. I did it by myself in about 3 hours. You may need a second pair of hands to sit it up on the frame once the winch is mounted to it. Looks great hidden. I completely done away with my center plastic piece in the bumper.

So it took me 3 hours-ish to install this winch mount. A couple issues I had: 1. The apex badlands winch I had would not fit between the frame rails on my truck with this mount. I had to cut about a 1/4" off the bumper flange on each side to get it in. It's not load bearing but might negatively affect rigidity. That's on my choice of winch, not rough country. 2. The pictures that came in the instructions, specifically the blanking plate/remote winch port didn't match what I had. Furthermore, I could not get that blanking plate to fit underneath the fairlead. I left it off after about 20-30 minutes of trying to get it to fit. 3. One step in the instructions has you bend the top bumper mounting tabs to make room for the fairlead. Save yourself some time and nip both the top and bottom tabs off in the center (4 total tabs). I couldn't get it to fit with the bottom ones left in place. 4. It took a fair bit of modification of the center cover to get the whole thing to fit. It would be really nice if rough country supplied a new plastic trim piece that didn't have to be cut / sanded etc. It would look a lot cleaner and would save me at least an hour. Overall, I'm happy with the look / install. But it was not easy, and be prepared to bust out an angle grinder. ... show more

Instruction are horrible, not details and pictures are awful as well. Not a set up to use if you are looking for your bumper to go back on center or if you have grill gaurd. Has no accommodations for set up with a full size grill gaurd, you will have to make modifications to bracket to make it fit your f150. ... show more
