Did alot of reseach before pull the trigger on this winch. I have had the same warn m8000 and 8274 on my jeeps for the last 30+ years without a single malfunction. so to jump ship and get something I have no experience with was a tough decision. The real reason is I can buy 5 of these for the price of one m8000. Line speed is good not as fast as the warn,but more i I used it the faster it got. Electric motors do need break in time. So far its been good. It reels in my superduty without a struggle. Has more cable than most on the market. I like that it has no wireless controller. I have a wireless on my quad and I've seen it start working all by itself and break the cable. Must have got a rouge signal from something. So I opted for the plug in style. Which is no problem for me ive been plugging in a winch controller for 30 years. So far so good I will update my review in 30 years. ... show more

I gave this 4 stars because I haven’t had a chance to put it to work yet, but it seems to be well made. It’s very heavy and mounted very securely. Ran smooth without a load, we’ll see how it performs once I put it to real work.

I have not tried it out yet but did install it on my trailer It is sturdy looking,heavy, and I think it was a good choice. Shipping was free and arrived quickly. The box took a beating,but protected the winch no visible damage to it.

Install was quite challenging in my particular application as the bumper was enclosed, requiring me to relocate the relay box, which has very short cables, so relocated mounting options were limited, but I ended up getting it to work without needing extensions. Power and ground cables were generous, and I had to notch the bumper to give me a place to attach the wired remote, otherwise install was straightforward. I managed to winch a car out of a ditch shortly after installing, so although I didn't get quite up to the 9500 lb rated capacity, I know it works. ... show more
