Yes, the new release film (with a sealing ring) can be used with older Hoopat. I’m noticing resin leaking after installing the Hoopat. What should I check? Resin leakage is most likely caused by improper installation of PFA. PFA has two protective films that need to be removed during installation. If the transparent protective film is installed, it will crack during printing, causing resin leakage. I installed the Hoopat with ACF film, and my print failed. What should l do? 1. Make sure to remove the two protective films on the PFA (one on each side) during installation. 2. Secure the clips using both hands at the same time. 3. Avoid applying multiple clips (chip and unclip) on a single film. My Saturn 4 Ultra 16K shows an error after installing the Hoopat X4H. What should I do? The X4H has a heating function. During installation, the bottom probe must be aligned with the heating element on the right side of the LCD screen. Can the old release film (without a sealing ring) be used with the new Hoopat? No, the old release film (without a sealing ring) is NOT recommended for use with the new Hoopat. By far the best accessory for my printer, worth every single penny. The quality of the film was great with quick release. I havent had much failures ever since switching to this. I love that it has max lines on both sides so i can see the level when im pouring and when im monitoring via camera, nice little feature. I wished it had two pour spouts like the original. Changing film does not take 30 seconds. You need to make sure every hole is fully grabbed and then do the same to seal. Still even with the extra time to ensure no leaks, it still beats taking out a bunch of screws. Cleaning is easy, i have a silicone scraper and if i have a hard spot, i usually to a tank cleaning with the bam wham tool and it peels off easy. ... show more

If you want a no hassle FEP change that can be done within a few minutes without having to deal with all the screws this is it! It is such a great quality of life product especially if you print as much stuff as I do. The new included silicone seal ensures no leak insurance on VAT changes. Ok, I already hate replacing the FEP film on vats. It's extremely tedious and something you have to get done right the first time. With Elegoo vats you can't get the film tight right in the frame because of how the frame bolts into the vat. So initially install it with just enough looseness to make sure it'll stretch correctly into the vat. Neat. This thing? SKIP ALL THAT MESS. Just pull off the protective film, lip up the latches, replace, latch it back. Boom. Done. Saved yourself a minimum of 30 minutes of insanity loss and dread. I just really hope they come out with one for the Mars so I can have both of them with the Hoopat system so when the tears inevitably happens or it starts getting too worn I'm not putting it off because of the time and effort it takes. ... show more

Good customer service and problem solved

Update( I reached out to chitu systems via email and they realized my problem was caused by the pfa film that comes with the vat. They sent me a pack of their new ACF film and I've now had two completely successful prints with it and I'm confident it's solved all my issues. I'm still taking away a star for it coming with bad film in the first place but their customer service is great)I bought the x4 for my elegoo Saturn 4 ultra because I had seen a lot of good reviews for it and love the idea of ditching all the screws and BS that comes with a normal vat. Unfortunately I just couldn't get any successful prints on this thing. After months of trying, more than 2 dozen for build plate prints, and a kilogram of resin in the trash. only one or two miniatures would be successful per full build plate which is like a 5% success rate. I tried manually leveling my build plate twice, tried several different print settings and none of it worked. I finally gave up and put the factory vat back on and haven't had a single failure in the last 3 prints. So buy this thing at your own risk, I don't know if I got a bad one or bad film but it's just going to sit in my closet now. ... show more

Worth every penny to simplify the process of film changing and the tension is perfect every single time. The film it comes with has better light transmittance (95%) than the stock FEP (92%) and releases very smooth with the high and consistent tension. Their time difference video is accurate. great idea, not reliable

Not quite ready for prime time. I like the idea, and it sounds like a great solution. But it seems that the film doesn't last as long as the standard kind. I've had to replace them more frequently than the regular kind. I've had the film leak and ruin my fennel lens and my machine. When it leaks, it doesn't just have a tiny hole, I've had it so that the entire surface area leaks. ... show more

This is the way resin printer vats should be made. It works like a charm. Changing the fep now only takes 3 minutes vs at least an hour with the old vats. I highly recommend this product.
