For the price, no complaints. I would pay a little more for a better switch and variable speed button. I’d rather have the switch be the speed control as well like the dewalt ones. But this gets the job done. I’ve only used it for one boat so far but it worked great for the few hours I used it.

This rotary buffer is made well with a good design, the handle is standout excellence, it provides easy control from any angle. Just be sure to tighten it's attachment bolts down to within an inch of their lives, or it's prone to wiggle around a little bit. I tightened them as much as felt like a reasonable pressure to not damage the handle, threads, or bolts, and that wasn't enough, it took a couple few more twists to actually stabilize. Like other rotary polisher's I've gotten, this one lives it's best life as a disc sander, focused on carpentry. It's lower speeds and many attachments are surely fantastic for polishing your car, but I'm more interested in restoring old wood work and this is great for that, just buy sanding discs in bulk because you'll need them. How does 6" compare to 7"? It turns out I prefer 6", which I did not expect. That is the magic perfect wheel width for fitting one wheel onto a fence slat, if you're sanding a fence. The 7" won't fit in there and the edge will get tore up faster, and you can't lay the wheel as flat down onto the board so for privacy fence sanding, six inch is king. I also used it with some 5/8" arbor thread-on accessories that weren't included, like a twisted wire wheel that performed fantastic for removing rust. You can basically use this like a low speed angle grinder, if you have a way to attach wheels. The speed and power are adequate for everything I tried, which was pretty demanding of the motor. Compared to other similar products I've tried, the speed on this one is a lot lower, but I'm totally fine with that, the others were uncomfortable to use at maximum speed anyways. And this way it gets better battery life too, so I don't view the lower RPM as a detriment, here. Overall I'm giving this a 4.5, with one half star removed because it does not include a case yet it has many parts to keep track of. Otherwise it's great.

I already have several DeWalt 20V batteries, so picking up the tool-only version made a lot of sense. It's nice not having to pay for another battery and charger when you already have them on hand. The brushless motor has plenty of power, and the rotary design makes quick work of heavier polishing jobs. If you're trying to remove oxidation, water spots, or deeper paint imperfections, it has the cutting ability you'd expect from a rotary polisher. I like having six speed settings because it makes the tool more versatile. The lower speeds worked well for applying wax and finishing polish, while the higher settings had more than enough power for correction work. The speed dial is easy to adjust as you move through different steps. The included 6-inch and 7-inch backing plates are a nice touch. I used the larger pad on the hood and roof to cover more area, then switched to the smaller plate around bumpers and tighter curves where a little more control was helpful. Another thing I appreciated was the handle options. Being able to choose between the D-handle, side handle, or simply holding the body lets you find what's most comfortable depending on the job. Even during longer polishing sessions, it felt well balanced and wasn't overly fatiguing. One thing to keep in mind is that this is a rotary polisher, not a dual-action machine. If you're new to machine polishing, there's definitely a learning curve since a rotary can generate heat much faster. Experienced users will probably appreciate the additional correction power, but beginners should take some time to practice before working on a vehicle they care about. Overall, this feels like a solid cordless rotary polisher. It has good power, useful speed control, and the convenience of working with DeWalt 20V batteries many people already own. If you're comfortable using a rotary buffer, it's a capable tool that offers a lot of flexibility without being tied to an extension cord.

Sweeeeet ! Omg after having plug in buffer this is 100% awesome💙. Great kit supplied with it too- Two removable handles D type plus side post make this easy to handle- easy and comfortable too - plus all the different pads. . This does NOT come WITH batteries but use Dewalt type 20v batteries -i feel its a *good idea to have spare before starting* you dont want to get half way done and have dead battery with compound or polish still in place - we have arsenal of dewalt batteries but we use them all day so before using this - its good idea to have 2 DEDICATED ready to go- whether you think you need it or not👌 This works great. The multiple handle options and LACK OF CORD make it much easier to use than our old one ( that one bit the dust recently).ĺFirst was intermittent then nothing - though it was cord issue but the brushes were just done for and completely unavailable to fix it -BUT HONESTLY SO HAPPY WE WERE NOT ABLE TO FIX IT - this is WAY BETTER - Tons - I love it. Hubby loves it - our vehicle look great again ;) two 7ah batteries actually lasted for him to polish all three cars- still when 1st one stopped it was very good to have the 2nd waiting - size of the vehicles and scratch removal details can greatly effect time spent. This is Fairly lightweight - our plug in was lighter having no battery weight - but 😂this one doesnt have weight of dragging a heavy extension cord or getting stepped on either so it works put in the end. The overall weight too depends on the battery size used so you can control this to some extent. Very happy with this - absolutely 0 regrets ordering this !!

This arrived, I opened the box...and within a few minutes my husband had claimed it as his own and it immediately disappeared into the garage. 😂 The biggest selling point for him is that it's **cordless** and compatible with DeWalt 20V batteries. We already have several of those, so not having to buy another battery system is a huge plus. Just pop in a battery and it's ready to go—no cords to drag around the garage or driveway. He was also impressed with everything included in the kit. Between the two backing plate sizes, multiple handle options, variable speed control, and all of the included accessories, it feels like a complete package rather than just a bare tool. The tool has a **good, solid weight** to it that gives it a quality feel without being overly heavy. Combined with the brushless motor and six speed settings, it's versatile enough for everything from waxing and polishing to heavier paint correction. Just keep in mind that this is a **rotary** polisher, not a dual-action model, so it has a bit more of a learning curve and is better suited to someone with some polishing experience. Overall, if you're already invested in the DeWalt 20V battery platform, this is an easy addition to your tool collection. Having a quality cordless rotary polisher that uses batteries you already own is a big advantage, and considering everything that's included, I think it offers **excellent value for the money**. Judging by how quickly my husband claimed it, I'd say this one was definitely a hit.

I had to get this since its the same price and complements the other polisher I have. The other polisher I have looks very similar and uses the same Dewalt battery. The quality of this one however is noticeably nicer, feels more solid. And the big thing is that it is indeed brush-less. So it feels smoother, and easier to use. When I first used it, I was a bit surprised about the noise. It has a distinct sound when in use. I was curious to see if something was wrong since it sounds different than my other polisher. Which it should since it is brush-less and my other one has brushes. I took it apart to take a look. I found that the fit between all the parts is very good. When I pulled the nose off (where the arbor is) I saw where the sound was coming from, its due to a helical gear mesh which is indeed louder than straight cut gears. The gear design is stronger and fits better than standard issue gears. So I'm happy with what I found. While changing speeds you can do it on the fly, i.e. you don’t have to stop the machine. I think that’s about it.. I'm really happy with it and will be polishing my wife’s car out completely soon. I will use both of my polishers at the same time so I can use different product and or pads at the same time without switching. I think for the price it’s a good deal, others at this price aren’t brush-less too.

If you already have DeWalt 20V batteries, this makes a lot of sense because you can add a lightweight cordless polisher without investing in another battery system. I particularly like having both the 6 and 7 inch backing plates. The larger one covers a hood or other broad area quickly, while the smaller size gives you better control when working around curves and tighter areas. The six speed settings provide a good range of shines, especially when moving between applying wax and doing more aggressive polishing. The brushless motor runs smoothly and has plenty of power, and being cordless makes working around a vehicle much easier without constantly repositioning an extension cord. The kit is a good value because it also comes with a generous assortment of pads and accessories, so there is enough included to actually start using it rather than immediately buying additional pieces. It is a rotary polisher, though, so there is more technique involved than with a random orbital. Used properly, it is a capable setup for maintaining and correcting a vehicle's finish.
