even though this is intended for swimsuits, i wear it around the house just to lounge in. it's a great top to throw on over my shorts and tank tops when i don't wanna be bothered with sleeves. the open design is great for my growing pregnant belly, and the fabric is super lightweight. it doesn't feel like I'm wearing anything, which i love because i get easily overheated and refrain from wearing typical long sleeves or sweaters due to this reason. when i wear this top, i get the coverage i need without compromising my body heat. the lightweight design feels like I'm not even wearing an extra layer. i love the beautiful print because the colors are neutral, not gaudy and obnoxious. really like this top for everyday wear.

For the low price, I wasn't sure what to expect with this cover up, and I was actually pleasantly surprised when I opened it, but there were a couple of flaws that kept me from giving this more than three stars. First, I'll talk about what I like. The fabric is like a patterned, thick chiffon fabric. It's slinky and flowy and feels comfortable and light on my skin. It's translucent, letting light through. It folds up very small and would make a good vacation cover up because it's easy to pack, and with the low price, if you end up losing it or leaving it behind, you won't be heartbroken over it. The pattern in the fabric and its colors are flattering. I followed the size chart, and the item I got matched the measurements in the chart, so it fit well even though I had to order up one size larger than I normally would. This is just the cover-up. There is no belt or fastener to close it, so you must wear it open unless you add your own belt or a brooch, but what I really deducted the stars for is the styling. This is described as "loose" and "kimono," but the styling is more like a boy's camp shirt. The only part that is kimono-like is the broad lapel. The arms are large and loose like a kimono, but at the end of it, it's just a straight cut across, not stylized like kimono sleeves. Similarly, the bottom hem of this shirt is straight across and it's short for a cover-up. The hem hits me right at where my upper leg bones join my pelvic bone. That means that my butt is uncovered at the back, and I would expect a cover-up or kimono to cover my bathing suit areas entirely. The overall effect of the straight hems at the ends of the sleeves and at the shirt hem is quite masculine, and even though the fabric is attractive, this style is not very feminine and not attractive on me. If you like shirts with straight hems, maybe you would like this style, but just a little more attention to the styling could very well make this a 5-star item.

I am building a warm weather wardrobe for summer and I got this plus size cover up for wearing over swimsuits and for light summer layering. Even though I got it in March, I washed and wore it around the house to see how it would work out and to write this review. I decided it’s a keeper. It has been very comfortable and flattering. I love, love, love the bright colors and easy care. I ordered the XX Large in the Yh001 color, and the fit works well for my pear shaped body. It hangs loosely without clinging and provides good coverage through the hips and upper thighs. The open front kimono style makes it easy to throw on and off, and the short sleeves give arm coverage without feeling heavy or restrictive. The floral print looks nice in person and works well for casual summer wear. The fabric is a blend of 97% polyester (durable/stain & wrinkle resistant) and 3% spandex (elasticity). It feels soft, lightweight, and slightly sheer, which is what I expect from a summer cover up. The material drapes nicely, has a bit of stretch, and doesn’t feel stiff or scratchy. It feels well made for the type of garment and doesn’t wrinkle easily. It’s lightweight enough to pack for trips and works well for beach days, pool time, or just running errands in warm weather. For care, it’s machine washable, and I let it air dry to keep it looking nice. It seems durable enough for regular seasonal use. I took a few pictures when I got it to show you what I received: 1- as it arrived, in packaging; 2- out of the package, bright colors; 3- hang tag; 4- size label; 5- estimating shoulder width w ruler; 6- estimating sleeve length w ruler; 7- sleeve opening w ruler; 8- under arm to hem w ruler; 9- estimating bust easement w ruler (52 inches); 10- estimating hip allotment w ruler (54 inches); 11- label one; 12- label two; 13- inside look at seam and hem stitching. This is a comfortable and easy to wear summer cover up that provides nice coverage while still feeling light and breezy. The price for this item seems reasonable for a soft, versatile plus size garment, and it could make a good gift for someone who wants an easy swimsuit cover up or light layering piece. Surprisingly good quality for the price. These are digitally printed. (I bought 3 different patterns.) Sometimes the pattern is very clean and detailed and other times it has more of a hand done effect. (These were designer decisions, not the print quality.) The fit is excellent. I actually got a size larger because I like a little more coverup. These look great as a topper over a sundress or as a coverup or as top over a tee shirt with jeans. The colors are great.
