  • Rosle spatula: 11 years, beautiful, useful and durable, still like new, our favorite spatula
We purchased this spatula 11 years ago. We have used it in a pan for delicate crepes. We have used it outside on the grill for burgers, and to scrape off the grill. It is used all the time, and has been regularly cleaned with stainless steel wool and put through the dishwasher over a thousand times. It has been used to pry, chop and scrape off pans. It still looks like new. Comparable quality to All-clad, but with a round handle that makes it more comfortable to hold. It is our favorite spatula because it is longer and slightly narrower than a standard spatula, longer gives more stable support for flipping ribeye steaks or crepes, narrower makes it a little less clumsy and gives more precise control (like a wide paintbrush vs a narrower one), and the holes help it release food like the grooves in a cheese knife. There is an offset at the handle that allows you to spatula in a frypan with either the tip or the side. After years of using all three, this is the one we reach for first. I was looking for it this morning, it was in the dishwasher (again), and it occured to me that I could buy one more. It surprised me that I had purchased it 11 years ago, and decided it deserved a review. In photos for comparison: Rosle spatulas (2), All-clad spatula, 10-inch fry pan. ... show more

  • #1 Spatula
The most fantastic spatula. It is a good weight with the handle solidly connected to the blade so that this will last decades under daily use. The blade it thin enough to get under delicate food, while strong to be effective at separating food from the surface of pans. The Rosle spatula has generous surface area so that it's efficient. The blade is strong so that it can also be used for cutting food, if you desire to portion it using the end of the blade, without at all affecting the shape of the spatula. This spatula is now the go-to #1 spatula in our kitchen of two serious cooking enthusiasts. ... show more

  • Excellent, well made spatula
I bought this spatula to replace an antique wood handled spatula my mother gave me when I got my first apartment 40-odd years ago after its wooden handle finally split. This is not as flexible as that venerable tool, but is otherwise excellent! It is well made, sturdy and easy to clean. While it isn't really rigid it isn't flexible enough to easily slip under pancakes that are near the edge in an iron skillet. However it works great for frying potatoes and other veggies and meat in the skillet and is sturdy enough to cut veggies while frying them. ... show more

  • A joy to use
Like all of the Rosle products I've bought, this is a quality tool. I have used it to make crepes, eggs, and tortillas so far. It has performed perfectly. The edge is good to get under even thin food. I use it with my Lodge cast-iron skillet with a low enough edge that I can really get in there. It's flexible enough that I can bend it under things so as not to tear them. It's big enough that I can get an entire egg on it. It's stiff enough that I can lift heavy things with it and cut things without worrying about it. ... show more

  • My favorite spatula
Second one that I’ve purchased, I’ve had the original for years and it’s held up. This seems of equal quality. Thin and perfect for eggs, cookies, etc.

  • Best spatula we own.
We love it so much we bought two. Sturdy, right-sized, and fine-edged. Perfect.
