Features

  • High-Performance Connectivity: This Cat6a Ethernet cable delivers reliable 10-Gigabit network performance with 26 AWG copper conductors and RJ45 shielded connectors. It provides universal connectivity for LAN network components including PCs, servers, printers, routers, switches, NAS devices, VoIP phones, PoE devices, and more.
  • Advanced Cat6a Technology: Experience Cat6a performance with higher bandwidth and improved shielding compared to standard Cat6 cables. The SSTP/SFTP (Screened Foil Twisted Pair) design helps prevent electromagnetic interference (EMI) and reduce crosstalk noise for stable, reliable data transmission over the Cat 6a Ethernet cable.
  • 10Gb Ethernet Performance: Also known as a Cat6a network cable, Cat6a cable, Cat6a Ethernet cable, or Cat 6a data/LAN cable, this Category 6a Ethernet patch cable supports 10-Gigabit Ethernet and provides higher bandwidth and improved performance than Cat6 for demanding network applications. It is backward compatible with Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet networks and meets or exceeds Category 6a performance standards according to TIA/EIA 568-C.2.
  • Durable and Secure Design: Shielded connectors with gold-plated contacts and strain-relief boots provide enhanced durability and a secure connection. Bare copper conductors improve cable performance and comply with communication cable specifications for reliable network installations.
  • High-Bandwidth Data Transfer with PoE Support: With up to 550 MHz bandwidth, this Cat6a cable supports demanding applications including server networks, cloud computing, video surveillance, and HD video streaming. Supports Power over Ethernet (PoE), PoE+, and PoE++ for powering compatible devices such as IP cameras, VoIP phones, and wireless access points.

Seems to be exactly as advertised, nice 6a cable.

  • Works fine on my 1Gbps network
Size: 14 ft Color: Black
I plan to upgrade to 10Gbps eventually, but not yet. I didn't want to buy more 5e cables, so I went with this one and it works fine for 1Gbps, as expected.

  • Excellent value
Size: 30 ft Color: Black
After some failed episodes with the quote unquote flat cat 8 cables and doing more research I decided it was best to just keep things simple. Cable matters always make high quality and affordable Ethernet cables. When comparing speeds of current networking equipment and computers to the throughput of these cables there really is no reason to get anything above cat6 unless you're really going to distance it then you have test 6A. I struggled with keeping the cat8 flat cables organized, so it's great to go back to Ethernet cables that just work. The best part is how many length and color and multipack quantity and multi color options CM has. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • Decent performance and shielding but not good for splicing
Size: 50 ft Color: Blue
CableMatters usually has good stuff and the cable seems mostly good with the shielding on a relatively inexpensively priced cable. However, this cord does not have any striped internal wires. Instead, it only has four solid colored wires and four solid white wires. So if you're replacing the end connectors with a new RJ45 end, you have to figure out how to place half the wires based on proximity to its colored complement wire. ... show more

  • Worked perfectly!
Size: 100 ft Color: Blue
Our router is upstairs and the main TV is downstairs in the living room. The WiFi was NOT doing well as far as video signal imagry or stability, so we wanted a hardwire connection. We installed a wall plate with a double female RJ45 connector in the router room and one behind the TV. We then ran this 100' cable between those two jacks behind the walls and through the ceiling. The end result is a perfect and stable TV image regardless of the weather! The cable was long enough with plenty of spare slack so installation was easier than it could have been! ... show more

  • CableMatters Cat6a, a Great Cable for a Great Price
Size: 150 ft Color: Blue
I'm a retiree who once labored as a marketing manager for a major broadband network equipment manufacturer. (Broadband networks today carry such monikers as LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, etc.) Major networks today are all fiber-optics, but in my day they ran on cable. Most (so-called "last mile") sites still do, as they did ten years ago, when I cabled my house with Cat5e cable. Last week, when I came to Amazon to check cables/pricing: surprise! It's all about Cat6a cable now and Gigabit speeds required by throughput demands for network game play and downloading movies, etc. In my house we frequently have XBox360 network gaming, two movies/tv shows, and one networked homework deal going simultaneously. I began to notice that things were bogging down and showing errors, so I decided to add a couple wired nodes and hardwire several others, because while wireless nets are convenient (in a major way!), hardwired nets even in the home are so much more secure and easily provide 2-3-4 times the performance of wireless nets. I read a few reviews of cables and was surprised to learn, first, that the performance of Cat6a cable (550MHz bandwidth) that meets specs is highly improved over that of Cat5e cable (150MHz bandwidth) and, secondly, that there is a wide variance in the quality among cabling sold by Amazon. I did not expect that. As always, several apparently knowledgeable and trustworthy reviewers went to exceptional lengths to "contrast and compare" the products. I came away with the impression that CableMatters Cat6a cabling was the superior-quality cable CableMatters 1000ft Bulk Cat6 Cable UTP Solid In-Wall Rated (CM) 550MHz 23AWG in Red I wanted to use. Now that I have installed it, I can attest that the manufacturing quality is outstanding. Each of four pairs is twisted inside a heavy shield and then the four shielded pairs are protected by a lighter stranded-wire shield. Outer jacket quality is very good. [Because I needed only a few feet of cable, I actually purchased CableMatters 150ft Cat6a 550 MHz SSTP (Screened Shielded Twisted Pair) Snagless Patch Cable in Blue) instead of the cable for plenum installations cited above. I was concerned about the potential quality differences between plenum and patch cable cabling, but I am well satisfied with the presumably more supple patch cable that I installed. As for performance, I first must say that I lack both the equipment and inclination to measure throughput, crosstalk (it's supposedly 12 times better than Cat5e), etc. All I know is that my kid happily (and interminably) blasts away at the bad guys with his buddies on the web AND simultaneously does homework linked to his school, while I can watch a Netflix movie without constant re-buffering, and my wife can do her thing--all because of the speed and error-free performance of our network, which now has a Gigabit switch connected to my older N-series wireless router. I think I can fearlessly face a brave new world of massive downloading for another ten years or so! My net is vastly improved, and I am a happy camper. Be aware, there is a great difference in the quality of cables offered on Amazon. CableMatters makes a fine--one of the better, if not the best--product at an excellent value. ... show more
