I got this because it has an almost 5 star review and we needed something affordable that would stop the rug from slipping, since we have a dog, a 5 year old, a 3 year old, and a baby on the way. My entire house smells just from taking it out of the package but I figured whatever, it'll settle, I'm just excited to not slide on the floor! My rugs still slides on my tile. UPDATE: The manufacturer contacted me regarding my purchase and graciously refunded my purchase price and offered me another product that could help. They went above and beyond with customer service; A+ on that.

When taken from the bag, it feels like it will be slippery on a hardwood floor but the opposite is true. It's actually really hard to move out once it's spread flat. And the rug cannot be moved on to of it at all. So, it's actually quite difficult to center the pad under the rug as you have to place it perfectly right because you cannot correct it. If you place it crooked, you have to lift it and place it better. No correction by sliding. Even a bit. But it means it's working! Since i bought it, my rig haven't moved a millimeter. Just got new 2x8 runners from Costco and these non-slip pads work great. I wouldn't say they are 100%, but they do work really well. I honestly have never used a rug pad that didn't occasionally get moved out of place. For the money, these do a great job.

Once you put the rug down, make sure it's where you want it. This stuff sticks but doesn't hurt the floor. You can even roll your chair all over it. I have it under my office rug at home.

The carpet is beautiful in design, measurements is perfect BUT, is too thin, it moves a lot even with the padding for not sliding:(. I had trip once and do did my husband. I guess, you "pay" for buying for less.
