I have to laugh because we were using just a basic baby gate. For 2 years neither the cats nor the dogs could figure out that they could just jump over the gate. Well the cats finally figured it out. We tried all sorts of things to block off the area. The dogs are in my area of the house and the cats get to roam the rest of the house. I like to leave the door open for the dogs and we can’t let the cats out. Well, this screen has been a life saver. Now, it is light enough that eventually the cats will figure out they can move it. But let’s hope they don’t. I go in and out of the room multiple times a day in order to get out of the house or go to the kitchen or laundry. This is easy to move and doesn’t make scratching noises on the floor. It is lightweight and perfect for my needs. Also, you can’t see through the wicker like texture.
