The media could not be loaded. I got this basic calculator for my desktop at work when I need a quick calculation on simple math. I find that I prefer a physical calculator over the app versions in Windows or on the Android phone. This calculator has a nice solid feel to it with large keys, a plus large, clear display - I especially like the large "=" key. It can be turned on by pressing either orange key AC (ALL CLEAR) or C/CE/ON (just for clearing entries). It has lots of digits and can display a number as big as 999,999,999,999 - just under "trillion" if you're in the USA, so if you're trying to calculate the national debt you may be out of luck, unless you approximate to the thousands of dollars. For most everyday calculations there are plenty of digits available. Same holds true for decimal numbers. The right arrow key will truncate decimal digits from the rightmost digits to left, however, it will not round up or down - for example, you will have to figure in your head that 1.255 will round to 1.26 otherwise it will display 1.25 after using the arrow > key. It has all the basics - percent, square root, and a single memory register to add to or subtract from. The double zero 00 key is useful. It is "solar" powered but I did not test it solely on solar power. The supplied battery, which is easy to change from the back side, is a standard LR44 button battery and is commonly available in most drug or retail stores.

The keys are large and adequately spaced apart so that you won't hit two keys at once. However, the numbers in the display are a bit narrow and they are closely spaced, making them a bit difficult to read.

Calculator, Large Display, Big Button, Solar and Battery Dual Power. As I am reviewing this calculator, the picture in the amazon ad is different that the calculator I ordered and received. See pic of the calculator I am reviewing. Keys are large and have some tactile feel to them. Large printing and strong contrast is good on the keys except for two keys (yellow key with white printing is not easy to read). Large numbers on the digital display make for easy reading. Calculator can run on batteries or on the built in solar panel.
