  • Arm Strengthening
Nice, use them a lot to help strengthen arms.

  • A nice addition to a compact at-home gym setup.
These ropeless battle ropes are a good addition to a home exercise setup for strengthening your forearm & grip, as well as upper-arm and upper-body stability, or if you just want to burn some extra calories or energy. The handles are sized to allow large hands room for a full grip, but not so big around that it's uncomfortable for smaller hands. The material is textured, but definitely use the wrist straps, especially as your hands sweat. It would have been nice for wrist straps to have a cinch-down clip, but since it doesn't you can ensure the straps won't come off by giving them a quick spin to reduce the opening after sticking your hand through. They're pretty heavy, and as other reviewers have mentioned can be pretty unwieldy, so make sure your area is clear of household members, pets, fragile heirlooms, or electronics before you start using them. I like the idea of the adjustable weights in theory, but in practice I'm not sure how much more resistance 2 silicone rings is providing. Maybe it's less about extra weight and more about increasing the spring's stiffness down at the swinging end? I also noticed that depending on where the rings are they might shift as you're swinging. Unsure of durability yet, but there isn't any obviously exposed metal that might rust or anything. If nothing else, I can confidently say they didn't fly apart when I first started swinging them! :D Also, Pro Tip: you don't have to just stick to "battle rope" style movements; these would be great for more full-body movements as you might find in sword sports or those involving a bat or club, or even to add weight & resistance to other arm swing exercises. (Again, mind your spacing...) ... show more

  • Nice when you don't have gym equipment
These are a nice option for getting some arm and cardio work in without needing a huge space. The handles are comfortable, and I like that the weights are adjustable so you can make the workout easier or harder. It does take a few minutes to get used to the motion, especially if you’ve never used ropeless battle ropes before. Good for home workouts, especially in smaller rooms. ... show more

  • Watch Your Head
First Impression: Good exercise, but if you’re not coordinated? Well, watch your head. There’s an injury waiting to happen. Lol This offers a compact alternative to traditional battle ropes while still providing a solid workout. The adjustable weight system allows you to change intensity based on your routine. It’s easy to use at home or take on the go (due to its size), and doesn’t require much space. The handles are comfortable to grip. Good option for cardio and strength without bulky equipment - as long as you’re very coordinated and watch out for your head. ... show more

  • Great addition to my workout space Great addition to my workout space
Using these battle ropes at first was awkward. I wasn't quite sure I was doing it right. What helped me though, was picturing in my head that these were actual ropes and how my swing would cause that proper ripple in the real ropes. Having these ropeless battle ropes at home makes it easy to get in a quick aerobic workout. I was able to find some youtube videos that lead me through a battle rope workout. There are a couple of minor issues that have caused me to remove one star in my rating. One, the battle ropes come with wrist straps attached to the handles. One of the wrist straps came undone before I even used them the first time. Not a big deal really, i'll just have to not get too wild with them. Secondly, the battle ropes come with small adjustable.Weights attached to the spring section. You can slide them up or down on the spring depending on how much added weight you want to add to them. Maybe i'm not doing it right, but they didn't seem to add much weight difference even when I pushed them all the way out to the end of the spring. I found that I can still get a good workout even with the minimally added weight. Unless you live in a big house with a dedicated gym room, it's practically unfeasible to have actual battle ropes. This product not only makes battle ropes feasible in an apartment, but they are affordable as well. Great product. ... show more

  • Definitely has a learning curve
I will admit, I am a little new to the whole battle rope thing. I like the idea of having something available to me at home that I can easily pick up and even if I only have a few minutes to get some exercise in... I'm doing SOMETHING. When you have a busy schedule, you have to fit it in where you can. These are a bit weird... not going to lie. There is a bit of a learning curve that goes along with it. I had to look up some videos to find out what to actually do with them aside from just flinging them up and down aimlessly. I also wanted to make sure I wasn't doing something wrong, and actually doing damage to my body instead of helping it. These are relatively compact, and can pack away when not using. You do need to make sure you loop your hands into the straps so you don't accidentally let one slip out of your grasp and it goes flying. You also need to make sure that you have some minimal space to swing these things around, or that there are no small children running into the vicinity when you are using them. They would definitely pack a punch if they hit someone. You can adjust the weight by moving the orange rings. It has allowed me to start at a lower pace and work up. I am hoping that these will help tone up my arms. ... show more
