This rope is sturdy and beautiful, yet soft to the hands while weaving and climbing. I need a rope to practice climbing. Commercially available products were too pricey. We recently got a cat, and instead of buying a scraping post I thought it might made sense to make our own. We already had carpet scraps handy and we have this pillar in our basement next to where we keep the litter box that used to be an old coal shoot. So we used a nail gun to fix the carpet to that, but I wanted to also wrap it in rope to finish it up. Finding rope locally was surprisingly hard, and extremely costly. This was the most reasonable deal we could find so we went for it. I only knocked off one star because it stank so bad when it came that I had to leave it outside for a few days, and even then I could still smell it while putting it on the pillar. Each rope was the perfect length for wrapping the support poles in my basement (held on with construction glue). They may even consider marketing for that purpose, given the lack of many other good pole cover options.
