The first Hdmi switch I purchased couldn't handle 4k and non-4k devices plugged in at the same time. However, this switch had absolutely no problem. I also like the weight of the unit. It helps keep the small unit from "levitating" because of the cables plugged into it. I also like that all the cables plug into the back of the unit. This unit didn't try to auto switch everytime a device powered on like the other unit I tried, and it also let you switch to port even if the device wasn't sending an active signal to the port. I feel this is important if you're doing automated activities with a Harmony hub or the like. The remote is small but has actual buttons. My only complaint was that I had to use a shorter hdmi cable for output from the switch. Otherwise I was seeing "snowflakes" in any 4k picture. I suspect there's just not enough power in the output signal for a 20 ft hdmi cable. Once I used a shorter cable the snowflakes disappeared. And just tech tip for anyone who is plugging into a 4k TV that has multiple hdmi inputs... if you find you have audio issues from any device plugged into the switch, make sure the TV doesn't have more advanced hdmi settings enabled for the port you are using from when you had a single device going into the port. I had an older bluray player that wasn't getting audio output on the TV after using the hdmi switch, and it was because I had a "deep color" setting on the tv's hdmi port from when I had my firetv 4k stick plugged into it. ... show more

I use it with an Apple tv 4k, a PS5 and a Nintendo along with a JBL 9.1 bar. The auto mode works for all the 3 devices but the TV wakeup works only for Apple TV. Picture quality is fine. Although I did notice a problem that some UHD 4k videos on Amazon Prime do not work if set match frame rate is enabled on Apple TV. With match frame rate setting turned off I am able to play all videos properly in good quality. Overall happy with the purchase. ... show more

I bought the switcher to help manage multiple gaming systems and a Chromecast. The device loads up and switches fast. I haven't noticed any deterioration of picture or sound quality over the device. I bought a second one for another TV setup in my house. Great product!

First of all, we are not "power users" by any means. We are using this Roofull Switch because our budget-priced Samsung 4k/60Hz TU7000 TV only came with 2 HDMI ports. So, the HDMI switch provides much more flexibility. So far, we've only added a cable box and a Blu-ray player to the switch; it performs its switching duties perfectly. We're using the TV's built in speakers, so have not tried any of the ARC/audio extraction features. Only had the switch for a week, so cannot comment on long-term durability. But, the build quality appears to be top notch, and set up is a snap. The supplied remote has no trouble working through a clear glass panel (unlike the Samsung TV remote!). I am very happy with this matrix as far as video is concerned, as the other ECO (more expensive one) gave me hard time. This takes apple TV 4k like a charm. My Laptop mkv files also works great, my very old karaoke system with less than 720p resolution also have no issue. Great matrix for VIDEO. Most importantly HERTZ understanding is great and take 60hz smoothly, crisp picture. Problems lies in audio. I use matrix SPDIF connected to my veryyyy old Bose lifestyle which doesn't support DD"PLUS" 5.1 (It does support DD 5.1). So if i keep edid to 5.1 and if the file from laptop is DDP5.1 = NO SOUND. If file is non-plus DD = plays audio fine. Yes, i have to get up, change edid to 2.1 and it works and outputs 2.0 (no button on remote to change 5.1 to 2.1 channel). I tried auto edid, to no resolution. I dont use arc. So i am stuck on, changing edid often from 5 to 2 and vice versa depending on my file audio format. Now about my very old JTech matrix, when kept on 5.1 setting, if the file is DDP, my bose does get the audio signal and since it doesnt understand the format, it played in 2.0, atleast i could hear something. In this matrix no sound and my bose display blinks from TV to PCM every second. Overall i am satisfied. ... show more

I had purchased a different brand that I had to return since it did not output audio signal out of the box. This one works just fine. Video and audio work out of the box. I use it for my Steam Deck. Also the fact that it has 5 different inputs and a remote control is a plus.
