It’s an hdmi switcher and it does that. So if you need one the. There you go. But it has flaws… 1) it auto switches, which it says it does so no shock there but I can’t find a way to turn it off. I consider that a flaw. 2) it requires power. I can’t get it to work without power. 3) LEDs on it are so bright it’s annoying. 4) auto switching happens even when you are using it. So if I’m using my Apple TV and video signal is flowing through it, if my Xbox one turns on it switches to it without any intervention. So yeah it has flaws but it does what it says. I can’t find an hdmi switch that doesn’t auto switch anymore so get what you feels best. This works and was a decent price but I’d much rather have an analog mechanical hdmi switch that doesn’t auto switch nor require power. ... show more

For the most part, this seems just like any other HDMI switch. It seems true to the specs, and has no issues with signal loss or interference. For me, the image quality is the same as it was without the switch, and I haven't had any issues with it at all. What made me pick this specific HDMI switch, was that I had a need for something that could cut off all HDMI signals, and something that wouldn't wake up my screen in the middle of the night if any connected device rebooted or somesuch. Specifically, I use this switch between a rather expensive gaming monitor with built in speakers (on a desk in my bedroom), and a Fire TV dongle. I was having this issue with the Fire TV where it wouldn't turn off all the way, and would always send some sort of signal to the monitor, meaning that the monitor wouldn't go to sleep, or automatically release the input to my computer. By using the power off function of the switch, I can turn off all the connected inputs, letting the screen go to sleep when I'm not using the Fire TV. And if I turn on my computer (connected directly to the screen) after powering off the switch, the monitor will automatically flip over to the computer input. Lastly, because this switch uses an IR remote, this let me clone the signal using a cheap IR blaster I picked up from Amazon, meaning that I can control the HDMI switch from my phone (and the Fire TV app lets me do the same with my Fire TV). In short, with this HDMI switch, a Fire TV and a cheap IR blaster, I was able to turn my gaming monitor into something much like a smart TV (except with a better panel than most smart TVs), which uses a lot less electricity than my computer does when streaming, and which I can control from bed, and the whole setup is easily controllable using my phone, or two remotes (one to turn the HDMI on or off, and one for the Fire TV). ... show more

Despite being annoyed that it does not come with the required batteries for the remote, it does work well. I am able to connect both an Amazon Fire Stick and and Apple TV device to the unit and they both switch and work perfectly. My TV does get confused sometimes on which unit is connected (my Sony recognizes what kind of device is connected) but after a few seconds it will figure it out. ... show more

I wanted something to enable me to have both my Firestick and my Roku plugged in the same time and this worked perfectly. The remote works fine, too, so I don't have to get up and manually switch it from one device to the other. This HDMI switch seems like it works. Turn on another device and it switches to that one. Sometimes it acts wonky but if you turn off all the devices and then turn one back on, it will switch to it automatically. I use an Nvidia shield and a PS4 on this. It usually works as advertised.

Works way better than those ones with the little gray remote and at a much greater distance. The ones with the little gray remote have trouble reaching your TV at the foot of your bed, this one works across my massive living room every time but I don't even have to use the remote because the thing auto switches as soon as I turn anything on. Another advantage it has over the competitors, which all seem to be either extremely overpriced or are that same gray remote one you see everywhere, is this one never has a problem with picture. It displays it perfectly every time. The ones with the gray remote fail an occasion for no good reason, like your Blu-ray player works fine today but tomorrow, black screen, regardless of resolution settings. ... show more
