We purchased the same (most likely not same brand, but certainly same quality) faux wood blind from HD 7-8 years ago (could have been 10, but remembering years becomes irrelevant as I get older!) and paid $60ish+ for it then. One of the strings broke on the HD shade a year or so ago, but I put off replacing it because I didn't want to shell out that amount to replace it. The HD was rarely used since it was in the bathroom and we rarely opened the shade or window, so was a bit surprised when one of the strings let go. This faux blind popped up as a recommendation and I was surprised at how inexpensive it was. I thought I would take a chance in ordering it, with the thought of sending it back if it was a cheap piece of plastic junk. It wasn't/isn't! It is a nice quality, heavier, faux wood shade that is exactly the same quality, if not better, than the one I purchased at HD years ago. And the bonus is the strings are heavy duty! Yay!! I am VERY pleased with this shade and now am considering them for my kitchen.

I wanted window treatments that would let me control the amount of light and privacy we had throughout the day. We have 2 cats that are not friendly to my curtains, so I thought I would try these Faux Wood Blinds. The 2 inch slats seem to be sturdy enough to withstand the cats treatment. As for the installation, these are the easiest blinds I have worked with. The design of the brackets offers options for installing the screws on top, back or sides of the window frame. If you are installing on the inside of the window frame, make sure you check the depth of the window so there is room for the brackets. The wand moves freely and the lifting of the blinds to open them works smoothly. No pull cords involved. The smooth finish of the slats should be as easy to clean as blinds can be. That's good since I put them in 6 of my windows. So far I am pleased with these blinds.

Over the years, I have installed 5 different brands of window blinds, ranging from mini blinds (easiest) to 4 different 2-inch faux wood blinds. They are all pretty much the same to install, which is a good thing, since I didn't find the instructions for these blinds until I was almost done with the installation (they were behind the valance, which I didn't take out of the box until I was ready to install it. Oops!) The trouble I had installing the blinds didn't have anything to do with these blinds, but with my window openings (that metal edging for the corners of the windows gave me fits!) It took me about 2 hours to install 2 sets of blinds next to each other (by myself, a 64-year-old woman, with no help), and that included re-doing a couple of holes for the mounting brackets (due to metal window edges, mentioned above.) These blinds have no wood grain on them; the slats are just smooth plastic, but they still look nice. The valance is OK, nothing fancy. I installed 2 blinds side by side to cover one window, and I was able to slide the valances into the center to cover the little gap between the blinds. I have to use both hands to pull the blinds down and push them up if I want them to move evenly; I don't recall doing this with my other blinds, but it's not a big deal. The wand on one set of blinds doesn't seem to turn as easily as the other, but I'm assuming there's some user error for some reason. These are an inexpensive way to provide privacy and darken the room.

I needed to replace an old set of 1" Vinyl blinds so got this Faux Wood Blind. The first one I received had a broken cord but the Seller was super fast to replace the unit. Now my window looks pretty and updated. The set comes with all of the hardware for multiple mounting methods. Mine is an outside mount and installation was simple. The blind works perfectly. I like that it does not have any hanging cords, everything is neatly tucked away in the top. Operation of the blind is easy, just lift or pull down and it stays put. The slats open or close by twisting the wand - so again, no loose cords. This also comes with the 'valance' that clips on the front to hide the metal at the top. Very satisfied with this purchase.
