Absolutely a beautiful addition to our living room. We started assembling about 10:00 a.m. and 7 hours, a few divorces threats later we had it completed. There would have been less arguing if there weren't so many typos in the instructions. Rough estimate of every 6-8 pages expect the digrams to be incorrect. We ran out of wooden dowels and had to run to the hardware store, but just once. You'll have to figure out where the extra dowels go because the instructions don't say to place dowels but a few pages later the instructions say to line up the dowels with the holes. No-can-do without a trip to the store. I would definitely suggest assembling within close proximity of where you intend to place it, she's an awkward piece to lift. It says 2 people but we could have used a 3rd and no one would be in anyone's way. All compartments are big enough to put away whatever you desire. The compartment above the fireplace unit could stand to be a bit deeper, there is definitely enough room. However the drawers have a tendency to slide out themselves, we checked with a level and all is well there. Only ideas we can think of are we either needed more dowels or the house is haunted. Seriously though, we can't figure it out. The different fireplace settings are amazing and there are so many to choose from! The heating turns off at temp and the unit has a timer, which is great for both of us (ADHD). That brings me to those top drawers, my husband and I each have a drawer and we empty our pockets in them after work. We now officially have a "hidden doom pile" and we love it. Highly recommend for this purpose alone. We've been monitoring the electricity online and don't see a jump in usage. More pros than cons, stop searching, this one is perfect.
