  • Nice kit
Style: DG - Cathy's Greenhouse
This was not the easiest thing to do but came together very well. Maker has attention on detail. But still room to make minor changes. Will make a lot of little parts. Quite a few flowers to fold. Looks great when its done. Lights look great. Had a good time doing it. Well made good packaging. No broken parts. Instructions were easy to follow but were little vague with descriptions. Great product would get another. ... show more

  • So much fun and has lots of details!
Style: DG - Cathy's Greenhouse
I am always amazed how these kits never miss one tiny part but they don’t! This one was fun and you make lots of flowers! Took a few weeks or so, working on it a few hours each evening. Purchased the other versions as well to do next! Instructions are clear and easy to follow but you sometimes need to be creative and problem solve. I will say the plastic “house” part was difficult and I wanted to toss it in the trash when getting to that part. I did use my cricut to cut the molding pieces that finalize the house and added a few of my own details to some of the pieces. I enjoy making each kit “my own” and adding details here and there. The flower making part did start to get old and I am going to hold off on a kit in the near future that is flower intensive. It is a flower greenhouse, I know but it did get tiresome by the sixth page of just flowers. Overall, fun and people enjoyed looking at all of the many details! Maybe not a kit for beginners though or maybe it is bc you get a lot of practice doing similar pieces. ... show more

  • So cute
Style: DG - Cathy's Greenhouse
I was excited to make Cathy’s greenhouse but wow it takes a lot of patience and time. Well worth it in the end. The directions were ok had a hard time keeping the clear plastic in place but other then that it took me a weekend to complete and came out great.

  • Fun, but challenging at times
Style: DG - Cathy's Greenhouse
I'm not finished by any means, but it is fun. It's challenging at times due to difficult sections and because the instructions aren't clear in certain steps. They sometimes assume you should know to glue things together and won't specify when you need to. I only figured it out when I looked at what the completed part looks like in the pictures. The glue they provide is good for some things and terrible for others. I found a regular glue stick to be helpful, especially with paper parts that need to be glued. They do provide diagrams on paper of each wooden piece that are true to size so you can doubled check you have the right part...which I referenced several times already. I also found it helpful to have large and small binder clips on hand to clip parts together while the glue dries. You absolutely need a ruler, a pair of small scissors or exacto knife, and needle nose pliers. All in all, it's fun so far, but I take breaks because it can be frustrating on certain parts. Hope this helps! ... show more

  • Excellent kits that look wonderful when completed
Style: DG - Sam's Bookstore
Five stars for the product. Easy to assemble? No, it takes time, effort and precision. Sturdiness? Well, if you leave it on a shelf it's fine (and lovely), but they are somewhat fragile when assembled. For beginners? Nope, and not for children either. Patience, care, thinking ahead, planning then doing are essentials. I have completed "Sam's Study" and "Cathy's Greenhouse" and love them both. Days and weeks of pains-taking assembly of many, many details, lots of them very small. The end product is SO worth it, but take your time. I would recommend purchasing some extra tools and materials (a real high-end craft glue, razor or Exacto knife, needle-nose pliers), but with those and the supplies that come with the kit, you will have all you need. Don't forget lots of patience. For the Sam's Study book library, I used several of my own images and covers of my own books, carefully measured the size of the pictures that came with the kit, photographed my images, and then shrunk them via PhotoShop to the proper size, and had a contact sheet printed at Walgreen's (for $5) and personalized the study. It looks great. Highest recommendation for these products. Have fun and remember: Patience! ... show more

  • So much fun and great value for money! Gifted one to my girlfriend.
Some might find the assembly tedious and frustrating, but I think that the time spent gluing everything and giving it your own touch is the fun part. It's not similar to Lego at all. very DIY-y - Cut paper, glue, paint. But its so much fun! I highly recommend to buy narrow pliers and a gripster knife or any other paper knife. because those are not included. ... show more

  • Amazing Quality
Style: DG - Cathy's Greenhouse
This was given to my very crafty 12 year old granddaughter. She loved having the challenge, but was grateful for the help of her dad to put it together. Alot of pieces came with this item but it was an amazing realistic miniature greenhouse.
